Pepper is about to tell Gene that she knows, she knows he's sorry, and even if she's still angry she'll get over it, that the turtles still aren't his fault - but suddenly they seem to be having a different conversation.

She raises her head, looking puzzled. Did Malicant kill a person Gene cared about, or something?

"Who are you talking about, Gene?" she asks quietly.
