There was a moment where Cain stuttered in his step, head shaking briefly like a cat whose whiskers had been blown on. That wasn't what he had been expecting and it still felt incredibly foreign to have his wounds healed by external measures. Magic like that didn't exist where he was from, and he was more than used to the quickened process of his own body.
