"Either he left a metaphorical dead man's switch in the cultists," Cain said with a tilt to his head, a concession to the possibility, "or they're scrambling for some way to feel like they didn't fail their lord and master. Dangerous either way, but if they're making it up as they go along... well, that's going to be even more trouble."
