"Unfortunately," Klaus agreed and stepped over to get a better look at the plant, adjusting his spectacles.

"A variant of thelymitra paciflora," he explained, gently turning the star-shaped petals upward. "They're a type of orchid though these are much more vivid in colour than the ones I'm used to."

He inspected the pot suspiciously. "I don't think any dyes have been used. They're low maintenance as orchids go, provided they're kept warm."
