Time to Get Our Hands Dirty

Characters: Yuri Lowell, Members of Brave Vesperia, and anyone else!
Date: August 11 and beyond
Location: Central
Situation: Cleaning up the fire damage.
Warnings/Rating: None that I know of. List any in the headers.

The first had left quite a mess. Yuri didn't know what had happened to Erskine, but he didn't think it was anything to worry about. Surely his friends had taken care of the matter. What was left was seeing to the community and cleaning things up. There was definitely a lot of work to be done, and Brave Vesperia was stepping up to the plate. Whether they got paid or not didn't matter. This was something that needed to be done. One of the other foreigners had done this, and it was kinda their responsibility to help.

Thus the morning after the incident found a meeting in the lobby of the Midnight Hotel. All available members of Brave Vesperia gathering there as Yuri explained the situation and what they would be doing. Since there was no guarantee of pay, anyone could opt out of they wanted to, but Yuri was going to lead the charge out there. Even if he went by himself.

Once things were explained and decided, the group headed out to the destruction zone. Each person being assigned tasks according to their talents and abilities. And if anyone that wasn't a member of Brave Vesperia joined in, that was fine, the more the merrier. Yuri himself would be putting his sword aside today, only bringing it just in case it was needed as a tool. Despite the fact that weapons weren't allowed in Central. His hair pulled back and his sleeves pushed up as he helped to move the rubble. The man pausing now and then to give an encouraging pat on the back to any forlorn Kedan who viewed their wasted businesses. They would get through this, and Brave Vesperia was here to help.

At the very least, Yuri won't be alone at the site. Duke's there, helping shift anything that looks like it ought to be shifted. When had he joined the group? Not very long ago. Why didn't anyone notice him approaching, long white hair and all? That isn't terribly important, right?

He actually just walked up when he spotted Yuri. He had thought about Yuri's comment of 'here to help with work' or something of the like when he went to ask for help that once, decided it a good idea, and well. Here he is.

Duke might not look particularly ready for work shifting and clearing away rubble, as his hair is still loose and everywhere as usual, but he doesn't seem to care.

Although Pepper is always happy to use the suit, she's not particularly happy for the reason why this time. The fire shouldn't have happened, and even though she was around to put it out, she likes that for once she can help clean up. She's opted to leave the helmet off; the kedan are on edge enough as it is without the blank face of the armor.

She does love being able to move entire sections of wall and support beams with barely any effort. Currently she's sifting through one of the more badly damaged buildings, separating out the pieces that are still usable from those that are too far gone.

While she had wanted to follow Yuri in the morning to the site, Dove knew her time would be much better spent at work in the Healer's Guild. Not only would she be expected to show up for her shift, but she was sure the number of people needing seeing to had likely doubled overnight, given the size of the fire. She would go in early, healing minor injuries and helping to alleviate smoke inhalation for those that had been victims and those that had volunteered to help.

In the early afternoon, however, those helping clean up the mess would find her approaching with a bright smile despite the strain of the multiple bags she carried with her. Once she found a clean enough area, she would set down the bags and work her hands out from their handles, flexing her fingers to revive the blood flow as she looked out over the group working. "Anyone hungry?" she called, ready to hand out the boxes of food and drink she had brought over.

Vincent is putting his strength to good use, sifting through debris, hefting overly-charred bits of infrastructure and shifting them out of the way, whilst finding pieces of still-structurely-sound building that could be used in the repair.

He might specialise in mechanics and robotics, but he's still an engineer.
