Xinhi, the smith, put together all the recovered pieces of the motorcycle into a single, functioning vehicle which makes a lot of noise during the awards ceremony and kicks up quite a fuss. The three top-placing teams, rather than receiving ribbons or generic recognition, each get the chance to ride it. There’s a very small empty circuit set up just outside the Courtyard, and each member of the top three teams is allowed three laps of the small circuit on the motorcycle (with accompanying lessons, for those who don’t usually enjoy taking their lives into their own hands.)

This highly visible and special privilege nets every single rider almost complete attention for the rest of the party, as wide-eyed children and some older thrill-seekers ask endless questions about exactly what happened during this crime and what a real motorcycle had to do with it!
