It was almost like they were facing off, not having a simple conversation over a reading table in the Hotel lobby. To any outside observer, it probably looked rather casual. Especially with how hard Cain was fighting off slouching or otherwise appearing as tired as he truly felt for all that this new magic utterly drained him. He had to figure that part out, along with everything else. He'd have to contact Raine soon, be ready to practice even if he wasn't so sure.
