For most of the night Erskine will be disguised as Rue, the flamboyant Englishman in the fancy frock coat, heeled shoes, and porcelain mask with gold lipstick. He flutters everywhere during the party, checking on refreshments, greeting guests, and generally making sure that everything is running smoothly, however he does carve out a good chunk of time to dance.

He'll dance with anyone who seems interested--and maybe cut in on some that really aren't all that interested--but it's very clear that he's specifically drawn to men. If that man happens to be amenable to shameless flirting, so much the better! Although even if not, they'll probably get flirted with anyway. Go figure.

It's also worth noting, now that Rue is accessible and not wearing his giant hat to cover his face, that his eyes are most assuredly not the same color as Erskine's. In case anyone's itching to play amateur detective~

((ooc note: If you'd like a Rue, please feel free to have him approach your character instead of the other way around if that works for you! Or have him cut in on a dance and steal your character away. He'll do it, don't think he won't.))

He had been dancing with a rather sweet elderly Kedan who was keen on the finer points of chess. Had being the operative word. Never had Klaus seen someone cut into a dance so smoothly and the elderly lady tottered off back to her friends, more amused than offended.

"Mister Rue from the network, I take it?" Klaus asked, recovering magnificently from his small bout of surprise. They'd spoken only twice and he'd seen him around the hotel, but the mask was unmistakable.

The sly grin isn't visible behind the full-face mask, of course, so 'Rue' settles for chuckling smugly instead. "You presume correctly. And you must be Klaus? As if such a strapping young man could be anyone else." His tone of voice is, as usual, quite suggestive. Practically a purr. As they dance Rue lifts a hand out of position to trail the first two gloved fingers lazily up Klaus's arm.

Even so, Rue is more than adequate at dancing. It's obvious he's quite athletic and graceful, even if he allows Klaus to lead the dance for now.

"I do hope you're enjoying yourself so far?"

Klaus's ears and face went a bit red. Really the man had nothing resembling a pokerface, even with a mask in the way. He looked away, deciding the best course of action was to simply pretend nothing happened.

"You... are most gracious," Klaus said hesitantly, gently wheeling the stranger over the dance floor.

"And I am. You and Miss Valdis did an outstanding job with the decorations."

Oh, blushing. Really Klaus, if you wanted Rue to leave you alone, that was not the way to go about it. Blushes were like a challenge. Like waving a red cape at a bull. Rue's grin wasn't visible but the entirety of his bearing--particularly the way that those fingers didn't stop trailing over Klaus's arm and up onto his shoulder--suggested that he was having a lot of fun with this.

"It was all Valdis, I assure you," Rue replied lightly. "We should be handing her a medal for all the work she did putting this together. I just stood around and looked pretty."

Rue likely wouldn't have been the first. His tells were very obvious, and others had certainly had some fun in flustering a stoic, shaved bear.

"Perhaps something could be arranged. Miss Valdis is more than deserving."

The fondling of his arms was getting to be a bit much. Klaus could be oblivious on some things but he was far from stupid. And despite his unfailingly polite nature, there was the occasional streak of mischief in him that only occasionally emerged.

This would be one of those times.

As the music swelled, Saracen would find himself led into a rather sudden twirl and dip.

"A gold medal, perhaps," he added offhandedly, pulling him back up and continuing as though nothing had happened.
