Meira stared at the light on Raine's fingertips, slowly reaching out. Her eyes flicked up to meet Raine's and when the woman didn't object, she touched her fingers to the light. It was surprisingly warm and it felt alive. The light brightened slightly and then it faded as Raine dropped her hand.
Meira's eyes moved back up to Raine's, "So there's nothing you can do?"
She was calmer now than when she had first realized that she couldn't remember anything, but the idea that she might not be able to regain her memories was disturbing.
