Arguing seems like the obvious strategy here, and she certainly wants to. But despite telling Skul that he's not her dad, she can't help but be reminded of him. It's a lecture, certainly, but the concern is genuine.

And as annoying as it is to admit, he's right. Pepper needs to sleep, properly, if she's going to be of use.

"It counts as napping," she counters with a sigh, reaching up to pull off her helmet. "But fine, dad. I could use a shower and a couple hours of shuteye." Pepper stifles another yawn. "What about you? Don't you need a break some time?"

He might not need to sleep, but no one's energy was bottomless.
