Cain wasn't here to push. Something was off in her movements and leaving her here to wander out alone wasn't really the decent thing to do — back home, Cain might have left her to it. If she was a foreigner like he was thinking, however, they all needed to stick together in a place like this and Cain was more than willing to concede some fondness for the familiarity of fellow humans and-or the nonkedan in a place where they were the minority.
