The last month had been hell. The trauma of soul-walking and seeing the painful memories within Jacob Kane had been bad enough without the added trauma of seeing a memory she didn’t even know she possessed. Paired with her untimely death in the explosion at Tony’s lab and her failure to self-revive, it was understandable that she was distressed. The only thing that had gone somewhat well was her stakeout of Dardul’s apartment. She had discovered information that could give her an advantage over Yunxu, but first she had to prove it. Landfall was another opportunity that she wasn’t going to miss, but first, she had to move on and not just from dying.
