Situation: The Foreigners, as well as many prominent kedan, have been invited to the great Temple of Hapoyela in Hatal, where the Sabonile priest class wishes them to participate in a celebration!

According to the Sabonile priests, Hapoyela wishes to properly welcome the Foreigners and the kedan to the full scope of Tavimbi's hospitality, and has instructed the clergy to organize a suitably impressive celebration for the citizens of the oldest living Great Turtle. All Foreigners, as well as many notable kedan including the Family heads, are invited to attend a grand feast and celebration at the Sabonile Temple, one of the largest buildings in all of Hatal.

The clergy has promised an evening of good food, lively entertainment, and the magnificent blessings of Hapoyela. At the same time, the Sabonile will be hosting a soup kitchen in the Temple's courtyard, feeding the hungry and the poor, as dictated by their religious tenets and beliefs.

While those who receive an invitation to the event, which the Sabonile consider a sacred charge from Hapoyela, are not required to attend... it could be seen as a disrespect to their deity.

MOD NOTE: For the naked after party section, soul gems are still allowed to be worn. If your character isn't up for stripping down, they can excuse themselves from that segment of the evening, which will have no negative repercussions with the Sabonile. In this case, they will simply do a wave-over blessing from Hapoyela around the person, and bid them a pleasant evening before they go.

"Ah, Leonardo," Klaus greeted. At least Leo wouldn't have to worry about Klaus judging his physique. Beyond the man being generally neutral about such matters, his gaze was kept somewhere to the left of people's shoulders.

Part of him had hoped Leo would avoid these courtyards, or at least they wouldn't bump into each other. He had no idea what his marking would look like to the All-Seeing Eyes. He hoped they wouldn't see anything out of place, though that was probably a fools hope.

"Have you been enjoying the festivities?"

Should Leo open his eyes, those marking would have a very familiar crimson aura.

"It's been okay." Leo replies, sinking his head a bit farther into the water and blowing bubbles-- like any mature 21 year old who wants to hide from the crowd. "Someone asked me to dance and I had to tell them that I was blind and had two left feet."

Lucky for Klaus, Leo had no intention of opening his eyes in such a public place. He had gotten past the frequent inquiries of "why are your eyes closed?" by making up something about having very light-sensitive eyes. But he prefers to answer that than to accidentally grab someone's attention with his weird eyes.

Though that doesn't mean that he cannot see the scar. It results him as odd, in comparison to other scars that he's seen-- on himself and others. In a way, it seemed more like a marking than a scar. But Leo decided against asking. He knows that everyone in Libra has their past, and well, if it wasn't important to know, then it's fine. "How 'bout you, sir? I didn't see you in the feast, so I thought you hadn't come."

"I... wasn't feeling particularly hungry," Klaus explained, rubbing the back of his neck. He wasn't sure how he felt about eating one of the Rakenga. He hadn't forgotten Casey's post and their own reservations at the possibility the Rakenga were sentient and that didn't sit well with him at all.

"Still, the sermon was quite enlightening, and they have been most gracious to put this on for us. I'm glad you have the opportunity to enjoy it."

Leo nodded at Klaus' excuse for not seeing him around-- to each their own. "It was really nice, yeah." He answers, a small smile on his lips.

The past days had been a ride for Leo, getting used to his new roommates...and the new world he had arrived in. "It really is nice of them to let us celebrate with them. I'm glad I arrived for this, at least."

Klaus gave a small, rumbling chuckle.

"You came at a good time, at least," he said with a nod. "Things will hopefully calm down and we can get Tu Vishan back to normal."

He relaxed a little, finding the springs to be quite calming.

"How are you settling in? Have you had a chance to speak with the others here?"

Leo slid into the springs, until he finally sunk his head into the water. Sure, he was aware that he looked like a soggy rat but who cared?

"I've been doing okay." He replied with a smile. "It helps that I'm not as blind as a bat anymore. I actually met someone here just a while back." A pause. "How have you been doing, sir?"

"I'm glad you're able to see again," Klaus said with a small inclination of his head. He had suspected the effects would wear off once Leo had adjusted to having his soul in a gem, but Klaus would be lying if he said he hadn't been worried. Leo had been through more than enough.

"Quite well - I have managed to make friends in my time here. If you would like, I could introduce you?"

"I'm happier that I regained my sight with no nasty side effects." Leo responds, chuckling at the sour memories that came to his head. He had been scared of how his body would react to the sudden major influx of information but it acted just fine. Nothing a few extra hours in bed didn't fix.

Klaus' offer did get Leo to raise his head in curiosity ( and a bit of timidity ). "Ah, well, that would be really nice of you!" he said, "I mean, you don't have to, but it would be, uh, interesting, I think." He shrugged, unsure of what else to say. It was true that he was interested, but the idea of meeting new people did intimidate him just a bit.

But Leo knew he would be fine....maybe. Alright, he knew he would be at least 50% okay, taking into account his boss' occasional screw ups in character judgement.

Klaus was an excellent judge of character. Steven was a nice man and Zapp was just a diamond in the rough.

...Very, very rough.

"I would have been surprised if there had been anything more untoward than the brief inconvenience. Most are fine within a week. Still, thank goodness for the small miracles."

He finally removed his glasses which had become terribly fogged from the steam and perched them atop his head.

"I will be glad to introduce you then. I haven't met anyone quite like Zapp here, so I think you're in the clear."

Steven was weird at his best and somewhat unsettling at the worst (that Leo knew of). Zapp...Leo was sure that he's been mugged by people who have a better sense of morals than that guy does.

Or was that too cynical? "I'm pretty sure that Zapp is just a one of a kind guy." Leo chuckled out. "Could you imagine him meeting someone like himself? That would be horrible."

But that was enough of that subject. "So..." He hesitated, unsure of how to continue the conversation, "what have you been up to during your time here?"

One of a kind was definitely the sort of careful phrasing Klaus would use because he really did subscribe to the turn of phrase 'if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all'.

"Largely working on solving the issue with Tu Vishan," Klaus explained. "The landing has gone better than expected - my worst fears that whatever inhabitants of this land that there were would be hostile have largely been put to rest. The next stage is to find some means of waking him."

He smiled a little, hands folded in his lap. "For that, I believe there is a way, though I will have to look into it first."

The idea of waking up a giant turtle that acted as an entire landmass was something a little too big for Leo to fully comprehend. Sure, he nodded to Klaus' words, but in truth, he just wondered if pressing a loud alarm clock to the turtle's ear would do anything.

Wait- do turtles even have ears?

Another thing he would have to think about when he's not bathing in a relaxing hot spring. "What's the plan that you have in mind now, though?" Might as well hear his boss' idea, even if he didn't completely understand the whole situation.

"It's barely a plan," Klaus said, shift his head back. He was boiling already, but he really did not feel like getting out and walking around naked.

"But I believe the Xunetane may be key in waking Tu Vishan. Really it's more a gut feeling than anything, but sometimes it's better to chase a false hope than fumble around blindly."
