Raine does not bother to protest the fact that Pepper is not, in fact, leaving a trail of dust. It's figurative, and in any case her efforts will be better put to use chasing Pepper down. She leans forward over the handlebars -- this does not help the speed, but it makes her feel better -- and she pushes it as much as she can.

It in no way equals the suit's capabilities, but Raine still keeps after Pepper at a relatively good clip, refusing to slow down one bit.

She will admit, if pressed, that this is as much for the sheer fun of it as it is for the assessment of the rheaird's upper limits.

When they're back around to where they started over the city Raine will stop the rheaird, nearly on a dime, and free her hands from the steering, shaking out her fingers.
