Actually doing a catch-all for once...
Characters: Shay Cormac (
irishthor), Adrian Fletcher (
holbydelboy), Vincent Moore (
sadisticmoose)
Date: April
Location: Everywhere
Situation: Catch-all or April. Specific situations below.
Warnings/Rating: None expected, warnings in thread headers
A. [Fletch] Water Sector | April | OPEN
So, Fletch has been having a pretty miserable time lately. Since his involvement in Milyn's death, the kedan have either been avoiding him or, in the case of the Snakes, outright verbally harrassing him. Whilst he can take a lot of it on the chin, it is starting to wear him down a bit. Hence, he finds himself in one of the bars in the Water Sector whenever he's not working at either the guild or the hotel.
He's sat at a table in the corner, phone in one hand, drink in the other, and sliding through photos on his phone; some of his kids, others of his coworkers, and other random stuff, such as memes downloaded from Facebook, etc.
Oh, and he looks miserable.
B. [Shay] Midnight Hotel | Early April | Locked to Leonardo Watch
Shay had some apologies to make. The first being the completely innocent Foreigner that got wrapped up in his delusion. So, after he's made a complete recovery, that's the first thing on his mind to sort out. He found out which room Leo is staying in, pausing in front of the door, before raising his fist to knock.
C. [Shay] Earth Sector | Early April | Locked to Arno Dorian
Another on his apology list was Arno. He can't quite remember what he said during the height of his Dust trip, but... he knows it was something awful, something an apology probably couldn't remedy. That's why, instead of seeking the Assassin out, Shay offered an invitation. A public meeting place, one of the cafés in the Earth sector. He was even (mostly) unarmed, only having his hidden blades as a precaution.
D. [Vincent] Midnight Hotel | April | OPEN
Vincent Moore was back. Whether that was a good thing was to be decided, and, luckily, he had a distraction for that.
He's hobbling into the Common Area on crutches, left leg in a cast, and dressings covering his arms. He refused magical healing for a reason, and that reason was that the pain kept him grounded. Whether it was because of the pain, or the fact he's been here before, he seems a lot more lucid and together than the man who basically spent two weeks in his room.
He makes his way over to a table, gently lowering himself into the chair, before pulling out his phone and a notebook. Might as well get some work done. He was planning on transcribing some of the designs stored on his phone to his notebook... just in case.
E. [Fletch] Cherrywood Clinic / Healer's Guild | Early April / Throughout the month | OPEN
It had taken a while to work up the courage to visit here. The kedan weren't exactly happy with Milyn's death, after all, and Fletch wasn't exactly a golden child. Still, Milyn had told him of something very important; The method by which she helps revive Foreigners who have died in Keelial. Specifically, of some research into the subject.
It takes a while, but he manages to sweet-talk the name "Xuiyu" out of the gang-members guarding. Rather than risk any further backlash, Fletch decides to take it directly to the head of the Metalworkers herself. Again, it takes a few hours of Fletch pitching his cause, and even longer for Xuiyu to decide, before he's allowed into the clinic with an escort.
Knowing exactly where the book that contains Milyn's research is held, Fletch can soon be seen leaving his guards at the front of the clinic, book tucked under one arm, and seeming to be in a hurry to get somewhere.
For the rest of the month, Fletch can be found spending as much free time in the guild, reading and translating the shorthand of the book, as well as sourcing the ingredients needed for the process of reviving the dead.
More options to come as ideas form.

It took a considerable amount of negotiation for him to agree to leave Leo alone for the day. Not because he wanted his boss out of the way, but more so because he felt guilty at having so much attention directed towards him. It was his own fault for being so stupid, anyways. Plus, what could even happen?
A knock happened. It definitely got Leo's attention, wondering who could be the source of the sound? Opening the door, he guesses that someone is here to visit Klaus and he's ready to tell them that his boss is working--
--until he realizes just who the knocker is. With a jaw wide open, Leo's face drains of color as he stands motionless before his attacker. The only word that he can form is a soft, barely audible: "Fuck."
C!
Of course, Arno's also had his moments of regretable behavior, and behavior that's badly affected Shay in the past, so, on the off chance it's something other than what he suspects, he owes it to the man to listen, and to hear him out. He doesn't have to agree with him when all's said and done, after all, and Shay's the one person here who really understands what his own world is like, and he'd rather not lose that if he could.
It's in token of that, and the fact Shay's forgiven him time and again, for some fairly unforgivable things, that has him making his way to meet him, pausing at the door to glance at his father's watch before casting about to find him.
Hopefully, this will go well.

...But as long as the Irishman keeps his hands up, there shouldn't be an issue.
"I'm not here to hurt you. I promise."
no subject
"Master Dorian." He says, bowing his head. "If you would join me...?" He motions at the other chair on the table.
no subject
"Of course, Master Cormac." He keeps his voice oddly formal. "I do appreciate your invitation."
no subject
( Plus, the non-violence rule was something very well known throughout the hotel. )
"Right." He swallows hard, still unsure as to what to say. "Yeah. Uh...do you...wanna come in...or something?" How do you even greet the guy who tried to kill you in your last meeting? Is there a guide to this? "There's tea...if you want some." Why couldn't someone write a guide for this?
no subject
"I'm... glad you accepted." Shay mumbles in return, before looking away for a moment, as if steeling himself. He looks back to Arno.
"I can't remember most of what happened a week ago, but that's hardly an excuse. I acted shamefully, in a manner that caused insult and harm to you, and... It may not mean a thing, but..." He pauses, licking his lips. "I want to apologise, at least."
no subject
"I think it would be rather uncharitable and unfair to do otherwise." he says, and is about to try directing Shay's attention back, when the other man turns his head again. He smiles slightly, appreciating the effort that it takes. Meeting someone's eyes in a situation like this is never easy, is it? Arno knows that better than many people.
"Would you like for me to tell you some of it? The parts that I know may have had some impact or do you prefer not knowing?" He wonders, leaning forward a little. "Regardless of what it was, of course, I think you're on a right path now. I do accept. And I was worried. You did rather terrify several of us, Shay. And at least in one case, that wasn't only for ourselves."
A, mon capitane! | 16th-ish
Besides, Rover has an errand to run.
Asking around for a Mister Adrian Fletcher at the Guild eventually leads him to a small tavern -- no, wait, bar. Or pub? -- in the water sector. It's not empty, but it's actually pretty easy to pick out the one Foreigner among the kedan, and he looks absolutely miserable.
Rover slides into a chair opposite him. "Hello," he says cheerfully. "You don't know me, but I'd like to thank you. Are you drinking? Can I buy you another?"
no subject
"Uh... Thank me? I-" And then he asks what he's drinking. "Sure. I guess." He mumbles, telling the man his drink.
"...Thank me for what?"
no subject
"For saving my husband's life," Rover answers, his eyes still on the miniature tablet. "Dexter Vex. Back on the day of the explosion, the first one, the real one. He showed up here, he was dying, and you saved his life." Rover tears his gaze away and looks Fletch right in the eye, perfectly serious. "Thank you."
no subject
He smiles slightly, a bit sheepishly. "And I just arranged for him to be saved. I can't do magic, and he definitely needed magic. The kedan healers were the ones who did the hard work."
D for Deon :V
"How are your legs?"
no subject
Is this a modern thing, irrational humility? It's strange. Maybe saying 'thank you' often enough will break past it.
"What's that?" Rover asks, pointing at the object in Fletch's hands. "Is that a tablet? I've seen tablets before. Dead useful. Pining after a long-lost love?"
no subject
He shifts, walking, making sure to keep his hands visible, and trying not to get too close to Leo, because... Yeah. He knows how he'd feel.
"No. I'm fine, thank you." He walks to the centre of the familiar room, having had this room when he first arrived in Keelial. He turns, reaching to run a hand through his hair.
"I... Wanted to apologise for what I did."
no subject
His throat is dry, he tries clearing it, and his mind of thoughts of what he could do.
"I aim to apologise to everyone I accosted during my... leave of senses. I should have been stronger."
no subject
"They're fine." He mumbles, before shifting, kicking a chair out with his uninjured leg. "You gonna sit, or stand there lookin' like I just shot you?"
Dry humour, there.
no subject
"Hm? No... It's close, though. It's a phone. Uh... Think a tablet with a mobile phone in it." He does, however, minimise the Camera Roll. He's not exactly ready to show off his photos just yet.
"And, uh... Just kinda... homesick, I guess."
no subject
"I...forgive you." Leo says it slow, as if tasting the apology in his mouth, to make sure that he doesn't regret letting the guy go easily. But he knows that the older male is here in good will, and that he wasn't in his right state of mind at the time. "You were drugged, right? The rock-- I mean, Gem, told me earlier that day." It was just his kind of luck to end up running into the same guy only hours later.
There's a momentary pause, and he adds with a dry chuckle, "Thank god I've learned how to run quickly." Ha. Ha ha.
no subject
As for what Shay COULD do...that's a concern, yes, but also because of what Shay could do to HIMSELF. Not that Arno quite knows how to phrase that, though his eyes narrow at the last there.
"I believe you were drugged, Shay. I don't exactly see how you might have been strong against that."
no subject
"It's tiny," he says. "I thought they were bigger. I thought you needed a bag to carry them around in. What are you homesick for? Where are you from?" Rover reached out to prod the phone, then stopped. "Can I touch it?"
no subject
"It won't happen again. I'm sorry that I caused you so much distress."
Because Dust amplifies negative emotions... that means he has the potential to act like that regardless of being drugged.
no subject
It's not that he's forgiving him-- it's difficult to do so when something so stress inducing occurred. Nevertheless, that doesn't mean that Leo hates him or dislikes him. "So, why don't we start over again? Not exactly forgive and forget, but just a new page all together."
"What do you say?"
no subject
That sounds... reasonable. Far too reasonable than Shay believes he deserves, but...
"If that's what you want?"
no subject
Why?
Because they showed regret. And Shay, right now, was regretful of his actions ( or so it seems, at least ) and Leo wasn't going to kick an already beaten dog. "So let's start over."
He raises a hand, for the other to shake. "Leonardo Watch...nice to meet you."
no subject
Yes, the Dust wasn't his fault, but it magnified his own rage and paranoia. Could something like this happen again?
He closes his eyes, taking a second to chase those thoughts away, before advancing the few steps closer and grasping Leo's hand.
"Shay Cormac. Likewise."
