[OPEN] Days go by...
Characters: Midii Une, Zatanna Zatara, Aya & OPEN
Date: Month of June
Location: Various (specified in Headers)
Situation: Various (specified in Headers)
Warnings/Rating: None to start; will warn if anything pops up
MIDII - (Fire Sector)
[She was on the roof.]
[Not an uncommon place to find certain individuals, granted, but...certainly not the first place one might normally find her. Midii's reason for being up there, though, was twofold. The first, and much simpler explanation, was that she was looking for a moment of privacy. The streets and open grassy areas were all full of people. It was difficult to find any place where she wouldn't be lost in a crowd. So she'd found a nice, open seat on the edge of a rooftop. Her legs lightly swinging over the edge as she ate her lunch--a stuffed pastry bun, with a canister of tea and small bag of cookies.]
[Her second reason, however, was the view. From the ground, it wasn't quite so noticeable, but once she had enough elevation...she was sure of it. That glow in the distance. Not a reflection of any of the sector's fire displays, but something else. It was curious. Dim enough that she couldn't see where it was coming from just yet, and that made her all the more--]
[Her train of thought was interrupted mid-bite as the very building she was on suddenly shook. Not violently, but enough to startle her into dropping her pastry. Down...down...several stories down.]
[Wincing, she peered over the edge with a sheepish look on her face, hoping it hadn't...actually hit anybody.]
Sorry!
[So much for privacy.]
ZATANNA - (Welcome Center)
[As the continued sole runner of the Welcome Center, Zatanna had to devote a LOT of her time to the place. Which, admittedly, wasn't so difficult when she also lived in one of the back room areas.]
[As Spring--or what passed for Spring in Keelai--was making itself more wetly known, the now 19-year-old Mistress of Magic was busy with the usual cleaning. Occasionally, one might even wander in through the front door and find her floating several feet in the air, legs crossed in what seems like it would be a comfortable position if it had been in a chair. She had a piece of chalk in hand, a small bowl full of what looked like salt in the other, and was drawing strange symbols on various corners of the room, above the windows, and over the doors.]
[Once in a while, she might be seen in the common room large plush chair, by the fireplace, with a large kedanese spell book in hand. Idly flipping through the pages while occasionally making notes in her own private spell book.]
AYA - (Multiple Locations)
[Up in the air.]
[Moreso than usual, that is where people will find the young Green Lantern. On occasion, she would be traveling to an intended location, but more often than not, she would be simply patrolling. Maintaining as casual of a presence as possible so as not to alert any potential danger. Eyes constantly scanning the streets below for signs of danger. Or, more preferably, a familiar face to encounter.]
[Only then would she gently lower herself back down to ground level, greeting the presence with a warm smile and nod of acknowledgement.]
MISC.
((If there's any specific scenario or location you'd like to encounter one of the three girls, feel free to specify in a starter header, or else contact me at
hina_mun and we can hash something out!))

[He says that in a tone that made it clear he wasn't mad at all. Hopefully Aya won't take him to literally, BB-8 did, on occasion.]
I only saw a bit of what you can do but it looked amazing from this angle. How high can you fly?
no subject
I have not yet tested the full of my capabilities.
But I am capable of space flight. My metallic components have been specially fitted with a protective coating that allows them protection from various heat and light wavelengths that might otherwise cause sufficient damage.
no subject
Because of the soul jewel limitations?
That's fantastic. The technology in your world seems similar to the one from mine, Astromechs and other droids are also imperious to extreme head and solar radiation but their design is very different from yours. Yours is much more...well, more.
[Poe's no sure how to praiser properly but he's trying.]
no subject
Because of the...soul jewels, yes.
[She glanced down, perhaps a bit fonder than most. Because that little gem was irrefutable, tangible proof that she had a soul. Something she hadn't even known until after her arrival in Keelai.]
If it is any consolation to the pride of your world...I am still...unique in mine as well. To my knowledge, I am the only one of my kind.
no subject
[Poe's own soul jewel is a round, blue one placed in a leather bracelet but he's less willing to show it to people after Hux took it away once and he almost died.]
I've meet some quite unique people in my life...[Such as Finn and Rey and that made shim smile.]...it's always nice to know more. I'm as ordinary as ordinary can be.
no subject
[That he was 'ordinary as ordinary can be.']
no subject
What I am really good that, I can not do it here.
no subject
One's species does not automatically diminish their capacity for achieving admirable things.
no subject
[He knows that some humans are more special than others, though. As far as Poe is concerned, he's glorified canon fodder. He was made to fight in the air and he can't do that here. It's been frustrating.]
And that Hal Jordan, is he your friend? Family? Or creator maybe...?
no subject
Except for the creator part.]Hal Jordan was the first voice I can ever recall hearing.
It was he who taught me much about what it means to be a Green Lantern. And...it is his praise, above all others, that I had always found myself seeking
no subject
It almost sounds like a father figure. Or someone like the General. [Poe's voice carried unmistakable fondness when he spoke the last word.] Is he here?
no subject
He is not.
A...version of him was here in the past. Two of them, actually, although one much stronger resembled the Hal Jordan I had come to know. [The other one had been young. Inexperienced. And full of self-doubt. Kind to her, but lacking in the necessary guidance she sought from a superior.] But they have since left.
no subject
[It was so odd to see Han younger and alive. As much as it made Poe sad it also brought him immense relief. At least there was one universe out there where Han's son didn't hurt him.]
Makes me wonder if whoever is bringing us to this city enjoys playing with our feelings.
no subject
[Though not impossible.]
Besides the fact that it would require an intimate knowledge of each individual's thoughts and internal emotions to such a degree that even they could not predict the results...there is another presence that would have...affected me much greater than that of Hal Jordan's.
no subject
[It's still not beyond the real of possibility that a creature with such ability existed, Poe had seen stranger things happen. But he tilts his head, looking at Aya with some concern.]
A friend of yours?
no subject
Yes. Someone I had...only just been reunited with after a significant time before I was brought here.
no subject
Ah, that sort of...partner.
no subject
Yes. I suppose we could have been considered partners for a time. We often fought or investigated together, while Hal Jordan and Sargent Kilowog were off performing their usual duties.
no subject
No wonder you must miss him. Given the nature of this place there’s a chance he might show up one day. I don’t have anybody like that back home yet but there’s…someone I miss too. I hope he’s fine, he was injured before I arrived here.
no subject
[So, so innocent.]
no subject
[But so sweet]
no subject
I can empathize with why you must wish for his presence here.
no subject
Finn has some tendency to panic under stress but at the time we were being shot at by the First Order, no one can't blame him for stressing over it.
no subject
Certainly not. Particularly if he is a being incapable of self-healing from such injuries.
no subject
Organics usually aren't, no. It's one of biggest design flaws. You can self repair?
