[OPEN] It's been a long, a long time coming
Characters: Aya (
looksfine), Midii (
unetrustworthy), & Zatanna (
backwordscompatible
Date: July
Location: Various
Situation: Various
Warnings/Rating: None to start; will update if necessary
I. - Aya - Library/Streets of Keelai
[When Aya was not hard at work at Stark Industries, she had been spending more of her time lately at the Library. Scanning various texts to commit to memory. Recording vocabulary. Kedanese, primarily, though on occasion, consulting other texts.]
[On occasion, she checked out one of the books. Which she kept with her as she proceeded to her other chore for the day. Procuring parts in the local market. Bargaining.]
II - Midii - The Place Formerly known as the Midnight Hotel
[The first morning, she'd woken up frightened. Realization setting in that she hadn't recognized her surroundings, and fearing she had been somehow kidnapped during the night. Only...her belongings were still around, and though the decor had noticeably deteriorated, the general layout remained similar.]
[If...incredibly dusty. Halfway through the morning, the young girl--with her hair pulled back in a bandana, and dressed in clothing that she didn't mind getting dirty--could be spotted rearranging and transporting several of her personal possession around. Bringing them all outside for air to be properly cleaned, while she...debated on whether or not it was worth taking them back inside. Or if she were better off finding a new place to live.]
III - Zatanna - Rooftops, late at night.
[She was on a mission.]
[Granted, she could have made a mission out of playing rooftop tag, but this time, she really was on a mission. Bouncing from building to building, keeping a lookout. The answers she sought--a question that Bakura had been so kind as to grant her--wouldn't be found through the usual means. Not something like this.]
[So instead, she sought the back alleyways. The shops open at this hour, if not necessarily to the general public. And, as she hovered several dozen feet above in the air, she held up a small notebook and struck yet another name off the list.]
Well, that was a dead end. [She murmured to herself. Bringing the pen to her lips contemplatively.] Let's see...there must be somewhere else that might know about this sort of thing. I mean, after Eshai and Eva...
[Whatever she was thinking, however, her voice trailed off.]
