Although an official council roster has yet to be decided, there are a number of political groups starting to pop up in support of one potential candidate or another. Along with that goes a certain amount of campaigning, sometimes in public spaces, sometimes in trying to influence a particular person. It’s a good time for those kedan vying for a spot to get to know their eventual ‘constituents’ throughout the city. It also allows those in contention get to know their fellow candidates. Foreigners may be approached in an effort to gain the benefit of their influence.

The jurisdiction of the council and how to go about actually running a government are still a little up in the air, but there’s lively discussion among those who are in support of the council.
