It was petty of course to blame her for something she had every right to do, especially when the only true fault he could blame her for was not going through with the killing blow. But he was weakened now, humbled, and if it took being petty to regain some measure of control over the situation - over her - then he would do whatever it took.

Nevertheless he forced himself to sit up in the hospital bed as well as he could. He would not face her looking any weaker than he absolutely had to. He refused.

"If you say you didn't come to check if you can easily take me out while I'm weakened, then I'll be disappointed." He smiled rather bitterly. "You would be showing common sense if you did that... don't say you have any lingering sentiment."

And as soon as the words were out Kylo wished he could take them back. Bringing up what they had done under the influence of the Lucid was the last thing he wanted. It was downright stupid. Even if he had been unable to keep from thinking about it, stuck here in his hospital bed with no distractions.
