In honor of the myriad year-end traditions shared by kedan and Foreigners alike, Rosyn has thrown a party in the Courtyard of Public Opinion. While Rosyn is hosting the party, she's doing more directing than setting up, ordering staff and volunteers alike around with practiced ease. Throughout the day, preparations are made in the morning and afternoon, festooning the surrounds with festive decorations. Tables dressed with fine cloth are brought into the Courtyard and deliveries of food and drink are made before evening.
As the sun sets, paper lanterns in a variety of shapes and colors and fire pits are lit, and the Courtyard shines invitingly as guests arrive.

The Gift Market
Prior to Rosyn's party, there are other festivities to be had! With the stable weather, shop-owners and artisans are able to sell wares and merchandise outdoors for most of the month. Tables and stalls pop up along streets, particularly in Central, as part of the year-end festivities. ‘Happy anniversary’ gifts are encouraged to keep spirits high, which isn’t too hard - with Tu Vishan awake there’s a renewed sense of hope for the coming year. Many of the items for sale are knick-knacks, or old stock that shop owners are looking to clear out in order to get a fresh start.

The Feather Gifter
During this event, characters will have the good fortune of coming across a possession of theirs, each tagged with a simple white tag bearing a hand-inked symbol of a stylized feather. These items can be found anywhere in the city, but none will be found in the compound at Ioa Elanag. The items always turn up in places where they can be merely picked up; characters will not have to purchase the item nor will it be in kedan possession (but they may need to argue with a kedan that spots it and considers it valuable). If asked about the symbol, the general consensus is that it's from the Xaxosi legend, which was recounted during the Ni Zhihuan festival. They will recall that the same thing happened during the Yard Sale last year, with just as little explanation.
Many Foreigners may also find the item left to them by the Feather Gifter at Rosyn's party, but anyone involved in the setup will assure them they had nothing to do with the items appearing.

The Revels
Tables of food and drink (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are laid out along the edges of the courtyard. Despite concerns about limited produce, Rosyn has ensured that no one will go without. The tables are laden with rich foodstuffs, both sweet and savory, and there is one truly spectacular cake that will be cut at the end of the night. In addition to Rosyn's contribution, other kedan have brought dishes as well, including some unusual specialties (watch out for the sea prune surprise!).
There's also a space marked out for dancing in the middle of the courtyard, and musicians will play throughout the night. Occasionally, one group will swap out for another, so there is a wide variety of music to listen and dance to. Rosyn can be found drifting around the edges and may even be convinced to dance, with the right partner.

The Shaded Lantern
Following the main event, Rosyn has a more private party planned at the Shaded Lantern. The invitees are primarily Foreigners, members of the council and several other prominent figures from the city. It's quieter, an opportunity for more conversation and for privacy if needed. While Rosyn's employees are certainly available for hire, they won't press the issue with anyone. This is an excellent chance to speak with the madam, if desired.
