Valdis stared at Pepper, uncertainty in her eyes, but that was a better feeling than anger. The girl was right. Emotion was more than just joy and the good feelings. Why hadn't she realized that? Why hadn't anyone else approached it like this? Why was this coming from a young girl with so little life experience compared to her own?
