Drugged. His heart pounds and the Swarm rears up - not in aggression, but agitation. The last time he'd been drugged it had been a syringe into his neck from behind, and it had gotten him neck-deep into Walrider territory to begin with.
He closes his eyes for a moment and tries to keep from hyperventilating. Calm. Calm. Heather had taught him meditation, and while he still isn't great at it, he's at least got the basics down. There's static in his ears and all over him, and he tries to quiet his head.
"Shit," he says, still looking like something out of a horror movie, but at least his voice is nearly back to normal, and his vocabulary is a lot more like himself.
