The dojo's become like a second home to Pepper, and though attendance has dropped in the wake of Bakura's Dust-fueled assault, she's still going three or four days a week. It's steadying for her, even though Bakura is behind bars and Valdis-- well, she's not sure what is going on there, except that it hurts to think about.
Helping out at the dojo gives her something else to focus on, and at the end of the day she's sitting on one of the benches, checking over the weapons - perhaps even those that don't need checking, just to occupy her hands. It's always been a meditative sort of practice, and Bakura would be even more irritable if he came home and found out that the various staves and blades hadn't been properly taken care of.
