Yet towards the end his voice lost some of the confidence, for he found himself that he wasn't much of a knight of anything right now, in this place. He had students, yes, but there was no saying yet if they'd follow him into darkness and even if they did there weren't enough to rebuild the Knights of Ren. They didn't have a master to teach them either.
