[There weren't enough hours in the day to accomplish all he wanted to accomplish, but that hardly stopped him from doing what needed to be done. Bruce had a tendency to get up before dawn, spend ten hours a day working (he'd gotten in at a smithy, which was proving useful when he needed to break in after hours and make Batarangs) and the rest was dedicated to training, patrolling-- the usual Bat-Regimen.
Today, he was out as Bruce Wayne. Mostly he was surveying buildings that he might want to purchase once he had a bit more capital built up. He was discussing the issue with one of the kedan themselves when he caught sight of the boy out of the corner of his peripheral vision.
For a moment, he simply stared, eyes narrowed. Wally West.
At sixteen. Certainly he's no older than that. Young enough to have no idea of Bruce Wayne's alter identity, but there's no mistaking he was a part of the Titans at this age.
Supposing he was from the same universe.
Bruce shifted his stance, continued in his discourse with the kedan, who didn't register the change. But Bruce was now in full view of the boy. Time to see what he'd do. Could be he'd just pass him by, and Bruce would remind himself later to keep an eye on him. Could be he simply resembled Wally West enough to fool him - stranger things had happened on Tu Vishan.
Bruce hated admitting the possibility that he might be wrong, but it was best to consider everything from each possible angle.]
