Event | Sinbrilee | Bacchanal
Characters: Any and all!
Date: August 24 - 30th
Location: Sinbrilee
Situation: An ancient festival of an ancient city, all are welcome at the Bacchanal!
Warnings/Rating: Please label threads as appropriate.
Death and destruction cannot curtail the single most important festival celebrated by the denizens of Sinbrilee: The Bacchanal! The ghosts in and about the city have begun to gossip about high fashion and festivities, sending any that inquire to the Amphitheatre -- a grand, circular structure nestled in the west side of the city.
This structure bore the fall of Sinbrilee and the wear of time with dignity, having lost handfuls of archways and one long stretch of wall to crumbling decay. Despite this, it is obvious that the amphitheatre once hosted many a display and every more festivities than the mind can grasp. This was their solace and safety; here is where the people of Sinbrilee came to find the mind's escape from all that threatened them and their great turtle.
Ghosts have been busy throughout the week, clearing paths through debris and hanging great cloth banners of soft blues and greens to disguise the more blatant signs of its decline. Many hundreds of them shimmer and slid through the area, providing for tables upon tables of food, offering drink, and overseeing competition of sport and skill (some even denying death's non-corporeal curse to enter).
Here, well... Here is where the party begins!

Lan Fan & Greed (open if anyone wants to break in)
Lan Fan huffed as Greed pulled her toward the dance floor, scowling the whole way and trying to ignore the warmth she could feel on her face. "Why do you want to do this anyway!?" she huffed, though he hadn't pushed her to the point that she had broken away yet (or flat out smacked him for just dragging her off like this).

And most of the time she didn't consider herself a woman at all.

"You oughta kick off those heels by the way, you'll probably be more comfortable without them."
no subject
"You're ridiculous," she answered, her tone low but clearly uncertain as she stepped out of the shoes.
no subject
"You say that like it's a bad thing" Greed retorted at her comment, taunting her with a smile and enjoying the feel of the plush carpet under his feet.
no subject
"It is not a good thing," she answered, probably looking more contrary than anything.

... and bodily threw Greed over her shoulder--because in her line of experience that was the correct reaction...

"Dammit Ninja Girl" He complained "You know how I feel about fighting Ladies. Just keep to the dancing wouldja"
no subject
Well... backpedaled until he darted right back at her, automatically moving to block and parry the arm trying to go around her waist. "Well, don't do that!" she answered back, her face going beat red.

"You're really not gonna make this easy for me are you?" He asked but then his expression changed and he grinned, bearing his shark like teeth. She could probably feel the change in mood even with him behind her. "But hey, I can work with this babe. It is a party after all."
no subject
"I said I was no good at this--" she answered before twisting away to one side, hand shifting to grab his wrist as she came out of the turn with a slight flurry to the skirt. "You're insisting, why should I make it easy?"
no subject
"Hey I asked and you could have refused my invitation." He says a little smugly "But ya didn't."
no subject
no subject
"Oh that." He commented with a short laugh "I thought you meant the paty in general."
no subject
"I am starting to rethink that decision as well," she said flatly--but there was something in the flat tone of her voice that brought across the fact that she wasn't serious.
Because if she was serious she would have left a long time ago.
no subject
"Say what you like, but I bet you had a good time just now at least." He leaned his head forward then, speaking in a low tone. "Besides. You know I'm gonna take you home whenever you're ready." He didn't mean for it to sound suggestive, but with his voice and demeanor there was really no helping it.

"Alright you know what I mean babe." He commented. "Just let me know when you wanna blow this joint"
