[Closed] High in the sky.
Characters: Bean, Darcy, Jaime, Korra, Leia, Midii, Sabriel, Saint Walker, Shockwave, Stiles, Tazendra, Temeraire.
Date: March 10th - March 16th
Location: Skycity of Teyran
Situation: Exploring a city that was abandoned almost 1,000 years ago.
Warnings/Rating: N/A (Will edit if necessary)
After speaking to both the Emperor and Han about getting a lay of the land from above, the party of twelve is given supplies for the long trip to load up on the massive dragon. Once done, Han opens up his large frills for characters who wish to relax and enjoy the ride. Being freed from the bottle, the dragon is enthusiastic about the flight and fluidly glides through the air with fair warning given to the foreigners on his back (especially those with motion sickness). Any conversations may include the dragon since Han speaks telepathically.
Hours later, a city in the sky draws Han's attention...
[OOC: Action or prose, it doesn't matter.]

He's using his ring to take a single book off the shelf to add to the other two he's carrying when he notices Jaime - or rather, notices the stack in front of him.]
My, [he comments, delicately placing his own books onto the table and peering over the stack.] I hope you've put aside some time for you to eat between reading all of these books.
[He picks one up, opens it, and idly flips through it, noticing the treacherously tiny print.] And time in which you may sleep, for that matter.

Oh, yeah, sure. [Finally, he spares a glance up, craning his neck to actually look at the person he's speaking to. (Maybe smaller piles instead of one huge book pile would've been a better idea.)] But there's no eating in the library. I'll take care of that later on.
[Jaime turns his attentions back to the book he'd been sorting through before Saint Walker had come over.] Don't bother with that: it's law stuff, I think. [The corner of his mouth twitches in a grin.] Actually, you know what? If you're having trouble finding time to sleep, you might wanna take that one with you.

Oh, I don't know about that. I may very well find something of use in here. [He focuses his ring on the page, translating English into his own language, a luxury that he doesn't have with kedanese.] Are you looking for anything in particular, or have you settled for taking out entire shelves?
no subject
Thanks. Maybe we'll get through them faster together. [Because he was planning on reading all of them-- or at least as many as was humanly possible in the time they'd be spending here.] Let me know if you find anything good, please?
[He chuckles.] It's not a whole shelf. Maybe a little more than half. And... I'm keeping an eye out for the history of the world here. Maybe stuff on our enemy, but I don't know how abundant that stuff'll be.

[One of the worse points of being new, he supposes. He still needs to know so much more about this place before being able to efficiently trawl through its history, but luckily, that is the subject he had been looking for in the first place. That, and philosophy, which betrays far more about its population than some may initially think.]
Perhaps it would be a good idea to take notes, ah...?
[He looks at Jaime expectantly, clearly fishing for his name.]

Also, it's Blue Beetle. [Jaime responds, with a pleasant smile.] And I would, if I had paper on me, but a mental picture's gonna have to do for now. A literal one. [He taps his temple with a finger.]
[At least until he can print them out of the armor. He doesn't want poor Walker to bear witness to that.]

[It feels wrong to introduce himself as anything other than Saint Walker, which is who and what he is, but it's been of note to more than one person.]
And what, if I may ask, do you mean by a literal mental picture?

I have a supercomputer up here. [An AI supercomputer, thank you very much, contributes Khaji Da helpfully, but Jaime has the good sense (this time, at least) to ignore that commentary for now.] I figured out early on that it could save images of things I've seen in its database. Super helpful when you don't have an actual printer or copy machine or anything around here.

Blue Beetle's remark about the supercomputer in his head piques his interest, however, and it takes him a moment to be able to register what that entails. It's funny how the last few years of his life have managed to tug him away from his pleasant, simple existence on his home planet into this brand new world of technology.]
You have a supercomputer inside you, [he repeats slowly, then leans back on the only clear example of anything like that.] But you are not an AI?
