Situation: Malicant’s technopathy is really making the life in the turtle a hassle, and making it harder for everyone to make plans against him. The highly technological ship city of They-Lun might be able to help with that.OOC plotting post

The city of They-Lun, the dossier says, is actually not a city but a frankly enormous ship. Built by a group of scientist who wanted to secede from the rest of the population to try to focus on their own particular researches centuries ago, it’s grown into a population of 5000 that’s kept in line thanks to extremely strict family planning, child-bearing and population policies.

They have also become incredibly xenophobic.

This is the first time in ages the inhabitants of the turtle will try to contact the ship city, and Evandau flat out declares he can’t be sure they will be welcomed and not shot in sight- not to kill, but the people in the ship will make sure they can’t approach if they don’t want them too, and they have the best weapons and barriers thanks to their technological advances. It depends on the scientists’ level of curiosity for the foreigners at the moment.

But if someone has a way to keep Malicant from invading technology at all, it’s them.

Situation: Milyn is looking for volunteers to retrieve a locket from the Death plane, while hopefully learning more about the plane. OOC Plotting located here.

Milyn will welcome the four to her apothecary in the Water Sector, saying that she prefers familiar surroundings to perform this undertaking, and also cheerfully point out that if any of them react badly to the Gha'nal venom, she'll have remedies right on hand! (She either ignores or is oblivious to the fact that this will probably not be of a comfort to them!) Her examination room has been furnished with four semi-comfortable cots (it's not like they're going to be awake in this plane to complain if they're lumpy) and after getting them settled, she'll come around and give them all injections of the Venom, hovering nearby until it takes effect and they awaken to find themselves in the Death realm.

The plane of Death is nothing if not uncooperative, particularly given Malicant's influence. Characters may confront manifestations of their fears, ranging from ambiguous (such as the group passing through a cemetery when one fears death) to detailed (such as a specific canon figure appearing to torment a character) before they arrive at the temple.

Location: Akranon, the vast desert.
Situation: A small group has been tasked by the emperor with exploring a new land. Is this the place where Malicant originated? Or is it just a false lead?

Magic will only take one so far. The swift transport from the edge of Asti's shell to the beach in the east takes less than four hours, but to cross the desert...that will take determination.

And water.

At the edge of Akranon, the beach is littered with shells, and the carcasses of dead animals, crawling to the sea to die. Sun-bleached bones are scattered across the endless sands, the only grave markers they get. One walks with caution here, in this place. The emperor was blunt, in his orders regarding this place.

Anything you find, even if it seems inconsequential, bring it to me. We must have more information.

The sun burns overhead, so close and so oppressive. How can anything exist in this place of fire and sand? What can be found in this empty landscape?

Situation: It's been too long since Malicant took over the palace, and it's time the foreigners did whatever they could to take it back. They might find out more than they had expected to find in the process.
Warnings/Rating: Fighting and shit? Please poke me if this needs to be changed.

Maybe you heard Superman suggesting they met up on the radio, trying to get as many people possible together for an attack that might prove unsuccessful, but would at least distract Malicant enough to get some information. Maybe you agreed to meet up and were talked into an open attack. Maybe you were talked into it by someone, dragged into a fight you wouldn't normally be part of otherwise Maybe your friends and you decided to take matters into your own hands, get together to try to attack the palace yourself and get something out of it.

Whichever the reason, there is no going back now. There's a yell, and suddenly... the attack begins.

The mission command itself had been simple: find Malicant's agent in Castis. The dossier itself had contained further details, along with suggestions and information on the state of the duchy of Castis. Five of them assembled together to complete it, and with open door to the treasury to fund whatever supplies they might have needed for it.

All in all, shouldn't be too difficult, right?

Following a very brusque but instructive meeting with Emperor Evandau, complete with pictures of the targets, the six heroes are clear as to what their mission is. Plunge to the hidden, aquatic city of Vian Thax and recover three long-lost agents who have fallen out of contact and are presumed endangered or compromised. How it’s accomplished is not quibbled over, at least not with Evandau. That’ll be done once the chosen foreigners manage to infiltrate the sunken settlement and plan from there. Assuming they can actually work together, anyhow…

Equipment for underwater travel is granted to those who cannot do so under their own means, a map and limited supplies are given, the way is pointed. To Vian Thax!

After speaking to both the Emperor and Han about getting a lay of the land from above, the party of twelve is given supplies for the long trip to load up on the massive dragon. Once done, Han opens up his large frills for characters who wish to relax and enjoy the ride. Being freed from the bottle, the dragon is enthusiastic about the flight and fluidly glides through the air with fair warning given to the foreigners on his back (especially those with motion sickness). Any conversations may include the dragon since Han speaks telepathically.

Hours later, a city in the sky draws Han's attention...
