Situation: After a rather harrowing conversation, Brandon's basically been avoiding everyone and everything imaginable. But unfortunately for him, no one in Keeliai does grocery delivery services. Teenaged boys go through their food stash pretty handily.
Warnings/Rating: Ridiculously histrionic teenaged boy angst? Couple of thread-headers in the post itself for anyone who might want to run into him.

Situation: check your surface-dweller privilege--aka Nita goes diving rather than die of dehydration in the desert

The sea is clear and cool, and the floor slopes gently into the invisible distance. It's not a healthy ocean, not like Nita remembers from when she was a child, or like her mother's stories from before the war, but it's better than the land, and there's nothing in the water to make her gills sting or her vision blur. She dives quickly, wanting to leave the surface behind for a time, and her eyes, blue as the sea itself, are fixed on the depths.

It can be easy to forget that cheerful, friendly Nita isn't human, but as she slips through the water with effortless grace, it becomes clear that this is her natural habitat, a realm that humans can only visit through the sufferance of technology and luck--and of the true denizens of that unforgiving world, who must surely be as cold and implacable as the ocean itself...

Any impression of alienage is entirely shattered by a certain denizen drawing up short with a gleeful expression on her face and pointing toward the seafloor with excited poking gestures. "That is totally a wreck! See the masts?"

How the hell is she talking underwater? Probably best not to ask, especially if you're holding your breath.

Situation: Batgirl goes to investigate the fire, Brandon comes looking for his girlfriend

She's always hated fire.

That doesn't stop her from moving as soon as the first flames appear in the distance; she's on patrol near the edge of the Sector, and she sticks to the rooftops to make the journey quicker, her heart thumping in her chest. As she gets closer, she realizes it's centered on the 'Foreigner' compound, and her first thought is a targeted attack.

But it doesn't matter how it happened, because her friends are there and she picks up her pace, desperate to make sure everyone's alright.

Location: Outside the city, somewhere along the way to shell's edge
Situation: CT is still having trouble believing that this is actually a turtle. So she's going to go and see for herself.
Warnings/Rating: none so far!
Notes: I'm good with either action or prose, feel free to post either!

[She'd been working as much as she could ever since the woman on the network had told her about the motorcycles for rent, and that it was possible to drive to the edge of the shell - or what she claims is the edge of the shell. Honestly, CT's still half-expecting a coast, or maybe nothing at all - maybe she'll just keep driving and driving until she has to turn back to avoid running out of fuel.

Or maybe she won't turn back at all. It's not as if there's anything keeping her here.

However, her goal for the moment remains the turtle's edge, and once she's got enough juulan, the first thing she does is go and pick out a motorcycle, paying the rental fee and packing it up with water and some food just in case. She wears her armor, knives tucked safely away - it's safer that way if she meets someone, and it's better protection than any other gear if she gets in an accident on the bike, too.

With a last look around, a cursory glance for anyone watching her movements, CT swings her leg over the bike and takes off, heading for the edge of town.]

Location: Way out in yonder sticks upon the turtle

Situation: It's a full moon night!

Warning: n/a, will edit if any become applicable

OOC Note: It's a full moon night, which means that the wolf is in charge! Feel free to have your character have decided to follow her from the city- her network post was probably fishy to the more suspicious folks, after all! For those of you whose characters tend to wander around in the woods, that's cool too!

A very very important thing, though, is that the wolf is actually a wild creature, not some wolf-man/man-wolf thing. She's a definitely large wolf, since conservation of mass and all that.

That said, Wolf!Kitty is a bit of a wuss; while she's head of her pack back home, she also does her best to avoid fights and attacks. So unless your character tries to attack her, they'll probably well off unless they do anything else that's generally asking for getting mauled, like forcing a wild animal into a corner.

As a reminder, Kitty does have an excellent sense of smell, so if she comes across their scent at a later time after this encounter, she will probably remember it after waking up and scenting strangers around when those scents hadn't been there earlier. She generally does not remember all of what goes on during full moon nights- it's blurry.

Situation: Brandon had to deal with slipping in some blood and getting traumatized at the sacrificial altar, so now he's turned into a depressive hobo that hasn't left home since. BATGIRL TO THE RESCUE?
Warnings: Talk of blood and gore and depressed teenagers and sad things all over. :( UPDATE: trigger warnings for abuse/torture/sexual assault.

[Ororo's been keeping mostly to the Wood and Water Sectors on the grounds that they have relatively low criminal activity, even with the surge after the festival. On any given day, like today, she can be seen wandering them and keeping to well-lit areas.

Maybe she's dipping her toes in the cleanest canal waters that she can find, or maybe she's buying a snack at a vendor in Water. Heck, she could be doing a bit of tree-climbing in Wood, it all depends on who or what she might run into.

Then there's the practice.

She's been pulling in fog banks to disguise taking flight, then heading outside the city walls in order to work on her weather control a little more. Being kidnapped reminded her that she's not the best at... well, anything. So it's in the essence of self-defence that she's spending almost four hours a day either observing the weather or trying to influence it -- and she's trying to keep it localised to where she is. She tends to get caught up doing that or trying to perfect her flying, and so can be easily approached here.

More than anything, Ororo can be found just about anywhere (safe), so feel free to join her, observe her, or interupt her!]
