[It didn't take long for Arthur to commission a hand from the tech expert on the turtle he trusts the most, besides Bruce, who isn't here anymore. Tony had thankfully agreed to make him a functional hand to replace the one he lost in Kithika, and he drops by today for a fitting and to drop off payment. He has a pouch of juulan on his belt and some lunch in his hand when he gets to the door, using his foot to 'knock' instead.

This hand is sorely needed.]

[The request is a good distraction. As much as Tony hates seeing Arthur injured, he's glad that he has a chance to help him. Maybe it is selfish (probably). But Arthur seems to be dealing with the problem well enough, so Tony follows his lead. He smiles when he answers the door and sees Arthur carrying food.]

Looks like you could use a hand.

[Yes, it's cheesy. Tony looks unashamed of his bad humor.]

I brought lunch. [Arthur offers up the box, containing something rather like sushi (cooked and raw pieces both) and a couple bottles of some kind of fruit flavored water, like a peace offering, managing a slight, wry smile.]

I could. How's it coming along?

And I'm forever grateful for that. [Tony gives the box contents a slightly skeptical look, though. This isn't going to kill him, right?]

Hey, you want to see? Come on in, it's ready for testing, anyway. I need to make sure it responds to your nervous system.

[Why is everyone always suspicious of the food Arthur brings? He just smiles slightly wryly at the look.] It's the kedan equivalent to sushi. No sea prunes, I promise.

That close already? Let's give it a try then.

[Arthur probably knows why Tony looks a little suspicious considering his response didn't need much prompting. Tony smirks at that bit of reassurance and leads him in. The apartment is a mess--maybe a little bit better than he's bad it in the past--but to Arthur it probably looks like Tony is almost intentionally going for a cluttered look.]

It'll still need some work, but this is a good place to start.

[He sets the box on a table absently and picks up a metal skeleton of a hand fitted with wires.]

Consider this more like a test piece. Just to get some readings. The real thing will be much better.

[Well, he suppose he can't blame him too much. Arthur does have a bit of a reputation for springing sea prunes on unsuspecting surfacers.

He doesn't seem to judge much on the surroundings and their organization, or lack thereof. His own place is nearly the opposite, clean and tidy and well decorated, but he also has a wife to do those things.]

I have no doubts. [He sounds slightly amused at that.] Let's get that input, then. [Arthur starts to unwrap the bandages around the stump of his wrist; it's healing nicely, and fairly quickly if you go by a human baseline, but the skin is still a bit raw and red beneath.]
