[OPEN]
Characters: Saint Walker & open to all!
Date: Throughout April
Location: Various locations around the Turtle
Situation: Various: See starters below!
Warnings: N/A
Just a note: I wrote these out in bracket text, but if you prefer prose, just use that format in your comment and I'll follow suit! I have no real preference between the two.
[A: Training/Meditation | Water Sector]
[It takes a great deal more than simply being displaced from one planet to another to deter Saint Walker from performing his daily rituals, and it's to that end that he's managed to find a particularly quiet corner of the Water Sector for his purposes. It's not uncommon to run into him here deep in meditation by the edge of the pool, long, thin legs crossed and hands resting lightly on his knees. Sitting here, he hones in on his surroundings, every sound around him seemingly magnified.
Then again, if you aren't the type to interrupt someone deep in meditation, that's not the only facet of his training. His method of training is far from impressive, and frankly, it probably isn't all that interesting to watch. He simply shifts from one pose to another, moving with slow, graceful, fluid movements, evidently intent upon some goal that only he can see. Those who are familiar with martial arts may recognize what he's doing as a form of kata, albeit a very slow one.]
[B: Flying | Across the Turtle]
[Of course, even he cannot sustain his interest with meditation alone. One of the great pleasures of becoming a Blue Lantern beyond self actualization, a sense of purpose and all those petty little details is the ability to fly, something that Saint Walker fully intends to take advantage of. Aside from simply taking joy in soaring through the air, he appreciates the unique view he gets from the skies, and it's not rare for him to edge a little closer to the ground to pause and appreciate it. Beyond his attention to the aesthetic beauty of Keeliai, he keeps an eye open for anyone who looks as if they may be in need of help, whether that takes the form of a physical intervention, or merely a figurative ear to rest their burdens on.]
[C: Shopping | Bazaar]
[As wonderful as the bird's-eye view can be, Saint Walker has to come back to the ground for some things, and one of those things just happens to be food. He doesn't eat meat as a rule, but happily, Keeliai is a generous host in providing all manners of fruits and vegetables for his consumption. A cloth bag rests in the crook of his arm, a large, leafy vegetable hanging over the top, and the way he blinks around at his surroundings makes it all too clear that he's both unfamiliar with the wares being presented, and looking to buy.
This is not a fortunate combination in a bazaar rich with people looking for an easy sell, and he finds himself being called at from all sides as the merchants attempt to indiscriminately sell their wares. One fruit stall manages to catch his attention, and he eventually gives in to the vendor pushing free samples at him. Whether it's because of the difference between an Astonian's tastebuds and a kedan's or if the fruit is well and truly vile, there's no polite way of disguising his disgust.
As such, you may just run into Saint Walker patiently bearing the vendor's tirade against rude customers after he spat the wretched thing out into the palm of his hand. From the grimace on his face, it's clear that Saint Walker finds the vendor's tirade against him to be infinitely preferable to forcing the fruit down.]
[D: Wildcard]
[OOC: Which is to say, do you have a different scenario in mind? Just run it by me, and I'd be happy to figure something out! Feel free to PM me or to contact me on plurk at feygasm.]

But right now there's just too much. Far too much for him to handle, and not even flying can make him feel better. That's why he tossed away his ring, why he stopped and decided to be normal again. That incident was something he didn't want to live through again.
Still, even though he said that, Hal can't help but long for a moment as he sees a streak of blue as it passes over his head. He's not aware that its actually a Lantern, but there's a whole bunch of flying people here so it doesn't really occur to him in the first place, especially when he has never been aware of any other Lanterns besides the Green Corps.]
If you'd rather he not recognize Hal, just say the word and I'll change up the tag!
He halts his flight to drift down to where Hal is standing and hovers in mid-air in front of him, large eyes wide and curious. He's never seen Hal without his strange little mask on, but he's certain he's not mistaken. Saint Walker had heard of Hal's presence here from both Aya and Kyle, but this is his first opportunity to see the man for himself.]
Hal Jordan? Is that you?
it's cool! go on ahead and recognize this loser
He eyes the... alien for a moment, entirely unsure, and speaks after said moment passes.] ...am I supposed to know you?
no subject
You will. Aya had already informed me that you're a bit younger than the Hal Jordan we are familiar with, but I had neglected to seek you out.
<small>[Not that he had sought Hal Jordan out this time, but it <i>is</i> a happy coincidence.]</small>
Allow me to introduce myself: I am Saint Walker.
no subject
Um... yeah. [He says, looking very uncertain.] Nice to meet you, I guess.
Oh drat, sorry for the HTML fail!
no problem!
I don't really care. [It's kind of late for that now, anyway.] I mean, it's not like it matters now anyway.
no subject
[He is, in fact, aware that Hal Jordan, this Hal Jordan, threw away his ring. For all his awareness, however, he doesn't understand it in the least.]
no subject
He's not from my future. [He grits out, possibly with a bit more anger than he lets on.] He's nothing like me.
no subject
Voice gentle, he asks,] Why do you say that?
no subject
We have too many differences.
no subject
[It's not a question, and not something that Saint Walker expects to be answered. It's not a difficult conclusion to come to, all things considered.]
no subject
[Because recounting his own death is not... something he's that open to doing any time soon, really. It's not your fault, blue alien dude.]
no subject
[He can accept that. As curious as he is, he's not about to force the man to start talking. And this Hal Jordan does, in fact, speak the truth; it is incredibly difficult to reconcile the man that he knows with the young man standing in front of him today.]
And that, I suppose, is why you threw away your ring.
no subject
Yeah, well, what's done is done. [He doesn't really regret it either, even though he knows he could have done some things better. But he's done with being a superhero, as far as he's concerned.]
no subject
[To take on a ring is a commitment, after all, one that Saint Walker had been offered and duly refused.]
I hope that the path you have chosen serves you well, Hal Jordan - and if you have not yet met her, take heart in the knowledge that your ring did not find its way to anyone with malicious intent.
no subject
(And its a bit hard to not be bitter about it.)]
Yeah, I know. [He manages out, with less fire in his voice this time.] Thanks for telling me, anyway.
no subject
[By all means, he should bid the man farewell now. Hal is clearly uncomfortable, both with his presence and the conversation, but Saint Walker can't bring himself to leave things the way they are.]
I know that you do not know me, Hal Jordan, and that perhaps in your own universe, you never will. But if you are in need of help, know that mine is freely given. I can see that yours is a heavy heart.
no subject
Case in point, Hal just looks uncomfortable for a second, half-uncertain about the words and half vaguely annoyed at people constant butting into his stuff. At least he has the tact to not voice it aloud.]
Uh--yeah. Thanks.
no subject
Not at all. [The smile he offers Hal is a rueful one, but a smile nonetheless.] For now, though, I can see that you wish to be left in peace.
no subject
That'd be nice. [He half mutters, shrugging.] I'm sure I'll see you around.
no subject
[With that said, Saint Walker takes a neat step away from him and leaps back into flight, a blue figure upon a blue sky.]
