Her hint of a smile accepts the compliment.

"I had a lot of time to work on it."

And it requires more work if she wants the control Hysteria had. And she definitely wants that control.

'I'm honoured to cross swords with you, "Phantom".' His smile turns a bit cheeky, remembering the first time the word had come up between them. 'Or do you prefer "Ghost"?'

That provokes another smile.

"I'm not dead yet, Kyle. Let's stick with 'Phantom.'"

'Phantom it is.'

"But Miria works just as well."

[imaginate]

'Do you like the title?' He's curious. He doesn't like many of his, very much.

"I don't mind it," she says. "I worked for it, after all. But it describes what I can do, and not who I am."

There are titles she prefers more. 'Captain' is one.

'Can I ask if you have one that describes who you are?'

She hesitates.

"The comrades I led in battle and in rebellion gave me the title 'Captain.' I didn't choose that myself, or work towards anything with that title in mind. It is just what I am to my sisters."

She says it carefully, emphasizing that it is their title for her. And not Kyle's to use just because she shared it with him.

She's a commander, like him. He suspected as much, and her comrades' title for her is not something he can use.

He simply nods, in understanding. Lanterns call him 'kid', the only people allowed to express, openly, what he is. A child, still learning.

"Do you?"

This has been about her a lot, and she still has much to learn about him.

"Have a title that you use?"

'I have many names,' he answers. All of them are true. Titles are things given, and worn. Names are kept, and inescapable.

'I prefer my own given name. If I made you a list of the others we'd be here all day.'
