Characters: Dinah Lance and OPEN
Date: July, all after Clueventure
Location: Wood Sector, and wherever you need her.
Situation: There are ideas and commitments that Dinah started before being distracted by detective work. Now she intends to follow up on them.
Warnings/Rating: Blood, wounds in the Arthur thread.
I started with prose, but will switch to action if you'd like.
General Starter: She found it in the wood sector, a courtyard formed by four trees growing from each corner, growing and intertwining together above, walled by hedges that have been growing out since the last master left. As soon as she had a spare morning and the presence of mind to do so, it is here Dinah returns.
She keeps the name and cleans first the sign painted so neatly in Chinese: “The Jade School of Kung Fu, overseen by Grand Master Shifu.” She doesn't know what happened to the Grand Master, but a dojo cannot be left unused, and she plans to honor this Master she never met by returning his space to the use it was intended.
She sent messages to the people she knew were interested in training with her, to let them know where they could be found, then she set about trimming the hedges, sweeping the building and the courtyard, and transforming it into a usable dojo again.

"Jaime Reyes? Oh, I definitely know him." At least, she doubts any other Jaime here knows her. "We're dating."
no subject
"He may have mentioned that a couple of times. We work at the same mechanics in the Metal sector."
no subject
"That explains how you know him. I didn't realize you were also a mechanic, though."

Secret Identities? They're in a dojo. She's hardly being a florist right now.
"I've been known to have gearhead tendencies. It was really the quickest and cheapest way of getting a motorcycle of my own."
no subject
"Black Canary. I knew I've seen you somewhere." Now that she knew what her aura looked like up close, it'll be easier to spot her from now on. "And I hear that. I'm kind of hopeless with the mechanics, so I just leave that to the experts."
no subject
She actually likes this, not having the secrets. It makes conversations so much easier, even if she won't talk about specifically how she met Jaime out loud.
"Still want those Judo lessons?"
no subject
"Of course. Wait, right now?"
no subject
Amused at the mistake, Dinah grins.
"I'm just checking. There's a difference between taking them from some random lady in Keeliai and signing up for... well, me."
no subject
"How much for a lesson, either way?"
no subject
Dinah jerks her head back to where the sign is still not really clean enough to read. "I was thinking of keeping the same rate, at least to start with."

Two juulan a day was manageable, as far as she's concerned. She does odd jobs for a living, after all, just a matter of fixing her schedule to match it and have time to practice magic.
And this might be a place to fade them?
Sounds good to me
