Situation: Now that everything's returning back to normal, Mark's getting used to being Invincible again.
Warnings/Rating: None, but will update as necessary!

A - Mark
[Mark had felt guilty abandoning his job for as long as he had, even if the circumstances were totally understandable... So he decided to make up for this by diving wholeheartedly into his work. Depending on when you walk by the Wayne Enterprises construction site in the Water sector, you can come across Mark doing various tasks at the site: helping the other workers carry beams, looking over the schematics... just generally overseeing the construction like he's supposed to.

At one point a worker informs him they left a tool at another site in a different district and can't continue, though a few minutes later that same worker miraculously finds it after feeling a gust of wind at their back...]

B - Invincible
[It was weird getting into the costume again, but a good kind of weird. He's grown so used to being Invincible over the last few years it almost seems like he's not himself when he's just being "Mark." Not that he dislikes Mark, but it's getting so hard to hide who he truly is. Being powerless was a good reminder of exactly who he was before he tossed that garbage bag into orbit and that he had survived far longer without his Viltrumite powers as he had with it.

...That said, flying was still the most awesome thing in the world to do. He can be found zipping back and forth all around the turtle, testing himself to see just how back to normal things are. Some laps are definitely better than others, as he once dips and almost hits a building during one of them. He's also not going to let a crime pass him by, especially now that the rest of the kedan won't threaten him on sight.]

It's the, uh, construction site. The wind is going through the, uh, gaps in the building.

God, that's awful. Make sure you fix that, will you?

So? How're things working out for you so far?

I'm afraid it's going to be like that until we get the siding up. I'll talk to the team and make sure they're more careful going forward. [And with that Mark is back in business mode. Crisis averted. You wish, Mark.]

So far so good. This site wasn't too badly destroyed, so it's just a matter of getting it back up and running for the locals. [Nothing else to report.

Wait...] Oh, and your son was here earlier, so I got the updated schematics and we've already switched to them. Thanks for sending him--we had no one to spare.

Which son?

[He knows it was Damian, but that's being entirely too savvy.]

[Which--? Oh right, Korra had mentioned there being more than one.]

The little one, Damian.

If you don't mind me asking, how many children do you have? Are they all here? [Mark couldn't imagine all of his family stuck here, as much as he misses them. It's still weird that his girlfriend is stuck here.]

[cowled]

Ah-- five.

[A slight shrug, the sort you might expect of a helplessly doting father.]

My three youngest boys are here.

[shorttempered]

[You... seem rather young to have five kids. Are they all different mothers, Bruce?]

I'm sorry to hear that. My girlfriend, the one I told you about--Eve--she's here too. As happy as I am to see her, I wish she wasn't stuck here with me, you know?

[cowled]

[If Bruce recognizes that scrutiny (and he does, because he sees it on a fairly regular basis) there's no indication of it. He has no desire to tell people his family's an adopted one. Too often people take that to mean not as important, and nothing could be farther from the truth. All anyone ever needs to know is that they're his boys, and Cassandra his daughter.

Still, he tilts his head.]

Mm. This place has its dangers. Too many of them, honestly, and it's only gotten worse in the last year.

[And given the amount of civilians around? Yes, it's worrying.]

I don't believe I've spoken to Eve, though. Has she been here long?

[shorttempered]

[It's not scrutiny so much as curiosity. His father is a part of a nearly extinct crazy warrior race that lives for thousands of years and is hellbent on taking over or destroying every planet they see. His half-brother is, as far as he knows, still blue since he's half-mantis person, half-crazy world destroyer. His mom, because she's a saint, raised said half-mantis, half-crazy world destroyer even though that meant living with the byproduct of her (ex?) husband sleeping with another woman. He's in no position to judge.]

About a month or so now. [He smiles at the thought of her.] Trust me, you'd remember the red hair if you saw her.

[cowled]

[Bruce doesn't choke, but he does mentally facepalm. What is it with Graysons and redheads, across any universe, it seems?]

I don't suppose she's looking for a job, is she?

I have never noticed this before. How did I not notice this? At least his first girlfriend was blond

[HEY! He likes Eve because she's the most amazing girl on the planet, not because she's a ginger!]

I... have no idea. I know she's been freelancing, but the pay I've been getting from you has been more than enough to support us both.

[Bruce reaches for the schematics and smoothes them down with one hand. Darn wind!!]

You're still enjoying your work, I hope?

No... I really do. This job is incredible. Everyone's great, I'm doing something worthwhile, and your pay's been able to support me and Eve like I never expected it would. Thank you, Mr. Wayne--Bruce--for everything.

[At least this is the actual wind this time...]
