[Miles had been happy to be without his powers at first, but as time went on he found himself missing the feeling of swinging through the city on a web, helping people and stopping crimes. So when the powers come back on, he dons the suit and heads out.]

Yes.

[Confirming that she's Victoria. She's still a slight distance away and from the way she's standing, she might just stay there. There's a wariness to her behavior, leaning away from people if they get too close. She's not in the mood to deal with them, obviously.]

What are you doing?

[Miles takes a small step closer, testing it out.]

I'm trying to find a job. I haven't had much luck so far, though.

[victoria_stay]

[She doesn't move. Just tilts her head ever so slightly and watches him more intently.] Are we supposed to find jobs?

[spiderkid]

[Okay then, another step closer.]

I think so, if we want money. But I don't see why a kid your age should have to work. I wonder if there's anybody to ask about that. Like the Emperor maybe.

[victoria_stay]

[And she's still staying where she is. She likes Miles. She doesn't know exactly how much she trusts him but she likes him enough to stay put for now.]

Someone would know.

[She'll ask in a few days.]

[Or he will. He takes another step closer.]

Are you settling in okay?

My suite is too quiet. [So that's pretty much her only complaint.]

But I like it here. Mostly. I miss home.
