This is a party. Kara had the idea and Nita managed the execution. With some Green Lantern help (the universe's most powerful weapon? great for transporting buffet tables and tiki torches) a section of "beach" has been set up with snacks, a surprisingly good bar, deck chairs, and various pool toys--where Nita came by an inflatable horsey ring is anyone's guess.

As it gets closer to evening, the grill is lit and heartier foods are available, though the selection runs rather heavily to fish, since the ocean is right there and nothing can outswim either of your hostesses. That said, you owe it to yourself to try the grilled pineapple.

Anyway, you know what to do.

[ Scott tries not to blush when Erica gets the wrong idea, except it's totally Scott's fault she came to that conclusion after wording it the way he did. ]

We needed to do something while we were waiting for the cookies to bake.

[ They should have just made out. ]

[Ahuh. Right. She'd believe that except Isaac is kind of stammering and Scott looks almost like he's bashful.]

And wrestling is your go-to time-wasting activity?

[She almost makes a comment. Almost makes a suggestion, but she's supposed to be nice to Scott and Isaac is his friend or more and well, she probably just shouldn't.]

Well I guess you have to make do without cable.

There was no T.V. And the only thing Scott suggested was making out. [ That's not helping their case. ] He was kidding.

[ A beat. ]

He also suggested thumb wrestling. [ That proves his point! And thumb wrestling is lame! ]

[ W o w. Scott pretty much wants the ground to swallow up when Isaac mentions Scott's "joke". I mean, joke. No air quotes whatsoever. ]

I was absolutely kidding. And there's nothing wrong with thumb wrestling. [ So defensive! Because thumb wrestling is awesome and if you don't appreciate it you are obviously a loser. ]

[ISAAC YOU'RE MAKING THIS TOO EASY FOR HER. Enough that she is not goign to comment on the making out but you get a look. Yes, that look that says both "Oh my god he wants to make out with you doesn't he?" and "Oh my god did you do it?"]

Ahuh. But was it naked thumb wrestling?

So this is how you run things on your side, huh Scott?

I was asking if this was how things are on your side. All cookies and naked wrestling. That's all.

[And then she gives him a sweet smile as if she is not deliberately stirring things up on purpose. She does give Isaac's shoulder a bit of a squeeze though. She's teasing, that's all. Nothing malicious meant by her comments but really, you can't hand her opportunities like this and not expect her to take advantage.]

[Stiles pipes up from nearby, because god he can't resist either.]

I've been friends with him for years. There have only been cookies in conjunction with naked wrestling once. And they were Oreos. Special circumstances.

[ Suddenly, Isaac is jealous of Stiles ]

And I wasn't there.

[ Scott is shaking his head at all of you. ]

That's right, I'm the leader of the cookies and naked wrestling pack. [ He plays along. ] We wrestle each other naked and eat cookies off each other every full moon.

Sounds like a lot of fun. Count me in next time and I'll bring the chocolate chips.

[She winks and bumps Scott with her hip.]

Better make it oatmeal raisin. Scott's an animal when chocolate chips are involved, somebody might get hurt.

Yeah Isaac, keep up. Scott's bringing me into his pack of ritual cookie eating and one of you gets to be the plate.

[She gives Isaac's shoulders a little squeeze and winks. Yep, taking this joke as far as she can.]
