This is a party. Kara had the idea and Nita managed the execution. With some Green Lantern help (the universe's most powerful weapon? great for transporting buffet tables and tiki torches) a section of "beach" has been set up with snacks, a surprisingly good bar, deck chairs, and various pool toys--where Nita came by an inflatable horsey ring is anyone's guess.

As it gets closer to evening, the grill is lit and heartier foods are available, though the selection runs rather heavily to fish, since the ocean is right there and nothing can outswim either of your hostesses. That said, you owe it to yourself to try the grilled pineapple.

Anyway, you know what to do.

Well at least it makes it interesting when you see people having fun, you can sit back, catch some rays and know that they're having fun because of you.

[He shuffles a little and props his elbows on his knees as he crosses his legs.]

[Comfortable, Erica shifts only slightly on her towel, raising an eyebrow at him.]

Metropolis? You mean like where Superman is from?

[Superman who totally flew her around the other day and it was awesome.]

Guess Supes gets around. Yeah like where the S-Man is from. [He shrugs from his position, which by the way wasn't that comfortable to shrug in.]

I go by Superboy as well. Most people call me Kon though. Easier I guess.

[Well damn, apparently she's meeting the whole SuperFamily on this turtle. Erica finds it easier to shake off the shock this time around than when she was talking to the big guy himself.]

Kon it is then. Been on the turtle long?

[Well hey, that's acceptable since the big man is pretty much famous all over.]

Sweet. Uh, I've pretty much been here since we started to show up. So over a year now.

A year? What have you been doing all that time?

[Because she hadn't thought about being there that long.]

A lot of things, not all have been fun though. I mean there's been a few parties, they were pretty cool. But there's been fights and zombie invasions, kind of the tamer things from back home, you know like fighting stuff.

You think that things are tamer back home? Tamer than the stuff you've been up against here?

[She reads comics and that's a bit of a concerning concept, okay. She knows what kinds of crazy shit happens in comics.]

Huh? Wow no! No I meant the stuff here is tamer, and it's like the tamer stuff back home.

[He rubs the back of his neck and smiles from a little embarrassment.]

I mean, it's still bad here, so there's stuff to do but it can be worse back home.

Oh, well, then I guess it's good you're here instead, enjoying this rad beach party.

[He looks like the type to say rad. She could be wrong, but she's getting a distinct "not from the same time period" vibe from him. And hey, when you've lived all of 16 years, that seems like a lifetime of a difference okay.]

So, tell me something if you've been here a year. Anyone I should make a point of saying hi to? Well, of the people here at the party, anyway.

Right? Totally the raddest. [He does just ooze that 90s era vibe, right? It's something he's not going to work on because, well how do you learn other lingo without being drenched in the culture around it? So he'll stick to the lingo from two decades ago. He knows all about the 16 thing.

Kon laughs and shrugs a shoulder up again.]

I'd say Nita but I can tell you've already met her. Uh, what about Kara, you met her? She's pretty cool, she's my cousin as well. [He looks about.] If you see a trail of sand being kicked up then that's probably Bart, he's pretty awesome.
