This is a party. Kara had the idea and Nita managed the execution. With some Green Lantern help (the universe's most powerful weapon? great for transporting buffet tables and tiki torches) a section of "beach" has been set up with snacks, a surprisingly good bar, deck chairs, and various pool toys--where Nita came by an inflatable horsey ring is anyone's guess.

As it gets closer to evening, the grill is lit and heartier foods are available, though the selection runs rather heavily to fish, since the ocean is right there and nothing can outswim either of your hostesses. That said, you owe it to yourself to try the grilled pineapple.

Anyway, you know what to do.

Kon stands and blinks. Then blinks some more before he lifts off from the sandy ground and rolls onto his back, keeping an eye on the guy in front of him, crossing his legs and his arms behind his head like he was lounging.

"Dude, I can do so much more than just fly."

"What else can you do? You make it look it so effortless..."

Frank has always been more interested in other people's powers rather than his own. He doesn't hide his abilities, not really- but he likes knowing about what other people can do first.

[tactile_telekinesis]

"Well it kind of is. I just sort of do it. But I got something called tactile telekinesis which is pretty awesome. And I'm pretty strong."

He rolls onto his front in the air and then reaches out to take a hold of Frank. He lands on the sand and lifts him up with one hand.

What is asking for permission?

Frank lets out a yelp when he feels gravity has suddenly stopped working, but he visibly relaxes when he realizes Kon is the one doing that, and controlling it. It's not the same as being surrounded by a bubble made by Percy, but it's still the same idea: trust them, they know their powers.

He lets out a nervous laugh. "Tac-ti-le telekinesis, so you can control anything as long as you're touching it like you're touching me?"

[tactile_telekinesis]

"Yeah pretty much. Comes in real handy when you got some mook thinking he's a genius with a gun terrorising people. Can just dismantle it right there."

He's looking up at Frank as he talks.

"It also kind of acts as a shield."

At the word 'shield' Frank's mind starts working to find a way to break said shield, but he ignores it. Being a son of the war is hard and no one understands.

"What about Asti? Does your power expand to the turtle if you touch it?"

Oh, Kon is kind of quiet for a moment as he lets him down from being held up. It's not a stunned expression, more a thoughtful one.

"I haven't actually tried, but I think he might be way too big."

He was expecting the landing to be a little rougher, to be honest- not that he's complaining. The kid must have a lot of control over his powers.

"You never know until you try, right? But I don't know how your powers work, I wouldn't want to hurt yourself trying either.

I'm Frank, by the way!"

An always present knowledge of the basics to his power and then years of practice on and off the field. There was also the amount of time he had here on the turtle. He had to think of a few ways to entertain himself and get better clearly. He still looks thoughtful, considering trying something out. Maybe a flipper, that could count...or...yeah something.

"You know, I might. Try it I mean. Kon! Nice to meet you!"

He grins and sticks his hand out.

He returns the hand-shake, raising an eyebrow at the name. Well, he's heard weirder names in both Latin and Greek and not everyone on the turtle is from Earth to begin with... so he'll roll with it.

"Kon. Nice to meet you too! Have you been here for long?"

[tactile_telekinesis]

Kon snorts and oh boy had he been here long.

"From the start. Like way back when we all started showing uo this round"

There's stories and there's heart ache but all in all Kon's managing to look on the bright side of things.

"So a really long time."

Wow, this kid will never stop being a bag of surprises. First his powers and now this.

"Really? So you were one of the first foreigners to get here?"

[tactile_telekinesis]

Hey, it's one of his appeals and he knows how to work it. Put out a little info, reel people in with more and more and of course it's only the best stuff as well.

"Yeah. It's been a trippy ride from the get go if I'm honest. Lots of ups and downs."

He doesn't actually look that bothered by it which he was kind of surprised about. But he tries to think more of the better parts.

To be fair Frank was surprisingly easy to impress for a guy who had spent the last months around demigods and fighting an ancient god to prevent the apocalypse.

"That's the feeling I'm getting from this place, and I've only been here for like, a month." He tilted his head. "But it's nice to know there are still people in here from the first ones to get here. My friend Annabeth was also some of the first ones, actually."
