[Green Lanterns were known to be fearless and if it was anyone else in his position they might have made a quick excuse and made a run for it. However Hal wasn't going anywhere, there's just a brief look of surprise on his face as he realises who this is.

(Now if he was Guy, he'd probably start laughing. Instead he'll file this away to laugh about later)

Instead he straightens up and mostly hides his amusement, although that smirk isn't going anywhere.]

[It's the High Society version of a snarl, okay.]

How's your-- duplicate holding up?

[That very slight pause is basically meant to be insulting. Bats and Lanterns generally don't get along at the best of times, but tiny!AU!Hal is a special qualification all his own. G'nort comes to mind, and it's not a positive comparison.]

[His smirk turns a little more thoughtful.]

Fine. [That other Hal seemed to be trying to keep his distance from him which he could understand considering the whole thing was rather disconcerting. The thought that he might have been a little condescending in comparing the two of them when they talked hadn't crossed his mind. Hal's not exactly aware of his own legacy.]

You don't think that should be your responsibility?

[Oh, there is judgement there. Rather a lot of it, in fact. Kyle does tend to be the one cleaning up Hal's messes, so Bruce can't claim surprise, per se, but he's still annoyed on the boy's behalf.]

[He has no idea why, but apparently that's what was going on.]

[He stares at Hal in something remarkably like disdain.]

[So flatly. It's not even a question. Bruce wishes he could say he's surprised about Hal's avoidance tactics, but. Who's he kidding, he's not.

Funny how much they resemble his own. Hypocritically speaking. Not that he'd ever admit it.]
