First Date
Characters: Stiles and Rapunzel | Closed
Date: October 1
Location: Wood, and then Earth Sector
Situation: Stiles has asked Rapunzel out on something resembling a date. Asti and the rest of Keelai is about to keel over from shock.
Warnings/Rating: Probably none. Rapunzel's a Disney princess, after all. I think there are laws against that kind of thing.
***
Stiles knocks on the door to Rapunzel's suite for the second time in as many weeks. Only this time, he's there to ostensibly take her out to dinner. This is honestly the first time he's asked a girl out for dinner and had her say "YES" so it's a huge, world-shaking deal for him.
He's wearing his jeans, and a Keelai-style shirt in green, with a Mandarin collar. It doesn't suit him, but it's better than the same plaid shirt he's been wearing since he got here, right?
Oh god, please let this go well...

Her hold on his hand tightened slightly as she looked back at him with urgency. "But please, don't tell anyone. It's supposed to be a secret."

You have no idea just how good he is, Rapunzel. But he finally pulls back, opening his arms to her for a hug.
"C'mere."
no subject
"Thank you."
no subject
"...You give good hugs," he murmurs. She fit against his body just perfectly.

He takes a chance, and kisses the top of her head. Yes, there's still food to prepare, but he doesn't want to let her go.

"I should probably get the pie started. Then we can eat dinner."
no subject
He finally lets her go, and nods.
"Okay. Maybe I'll stir the stew. Keep me away from knives. I mean, I'm sure that trick of yours is pretty flexible. But my limit for magic is once a night. Firm rule."
no subject
"There. Now it just needs to bake."

Lydia had been his obsession for years. Now he had Rapunzel. And this was so much better, so much nicer, so much more affectionate and attentive. He wasn't over Lydia by any stretch of the imagination, but he was at least seventy-five percent there. Maybe eighty percent. Rapunzel was taking over his heart.
"Yeah, you did that much better than I ever could."
no subject
Rapunzel stepped closer and peered into the stew pot, watching Stiles stir the meal. "And I don't know. You seem to be doing an excellent job of stirring there."
no subject
He nods at her, with a ridiculous look on his face. Yup. Stirring hardcore. Fear his stirring skills. Always.

"I think," she said in between laughter and breathing. "I think we should eat now."
no subject
He finally relinquishes control of the stirring spoon to her, and grabs a couple of bowls from her cabinet.
"Do you have any bread? I love dipping bread in stew."
no subject
She pulls a loaf of bread that she'd baked that morning from the pantry and handed it to Stiles. She then took two bowls and ladled stew into them.
"There's another table in the other room. We can eat there since this table still has everything on it."
no subject
He reaches up and grabs two big bowls, as well as two big spoons. And he takes it all out to the dining room. Because setting the table is something all good guests should do. His mother taught him that.

"Thanks, Punz. This looks and smells fantastic. Thank you."

Grabbing a chunk of bread, he dips it into the stew, and takes his first big bite. And he melts into it, totally delighted by the taste.
"Oh wow. Yeah. I love it."
no subject
"Good. I'm glad."
Satisfied, she heartily dug into her own bowl for her first taste.
