There's a thought. Kyle didn't particularly want to, he was worried about drawing people he knew because he would agonise over even the simplest sketch, if he didn't immediately have an idea in mind.

His train of thought derails at her order (Was it? It felt like one) and he gives her a reproachful look. 'You're not my real mom,' he says, grumpily, making it clear he's just teasing, and offering a self-deprecating smile. 'Don't tell me what to do.'

Kyle, however, is utterly failing at keeping the grin off his face. 'I'd like to see you try.'

It doesn't take long for a large - oh God was that a polar bear? - white blur to enter the room and overwhelm a certain Lantern, who very quickly ends up on the floor, laughing uncontrollably, as he unsuccessfully attempts to fend her off. Kyle adores pets, and once Naga's done introducing herself he scratches her behind the ear.

'Okay,' he says, between a few chuckles, 'First? Not everything I say is a challenge. That was a joke.'

"Oh. Okay."
He begins to weave again.

"...is there another me here that no one is telling me about?"

"Not everyone uses my guy, but he wishes they would."

Art. He was someone he hadn't thought of recently, but the thought made him smile. He was a good friend to the family... and he made one hell of a costume. Mark glanced down at his costume, with its holes and awful patch jobs. Eve had fixed it for him while she was here, and had given him a few back ups for good measure, but he knew it was only a matter of time before he wore them all into the ground--or they got destroyed.

"No, only people with flight or who can simulate it. Why do you ask?"

And with that, Mark reclines in the air. Showing off? Absolutely.

"I'm Invincible."

He gives her one final, grateful pat on the head before there's a brief flash of green light, and he's clear of slobber and dirt. Sitting down, he puts his feet up on the table, matching Korra's posture. All of a sudden it's not difficult for him to imagine why Jim overidentifies with her.

'All right,' he says, 'I'll eat when I'm done. Think you can recommend a good noodle shop?'

He grins in response to her question, his posture relaxing into something much more natural. He knows Korra is an experienced martial artist, so it's really not all that surprising that she recognized the style, but Chi Gung is a personal favorite of Leonardo's. He's always appreciated it much more than certain other turtles he can name.

"Thought it would go well with the scenery," he says lightly, glancing back out towards the open field. There's a very slight apologetic note to it, too; he didn't mean to intrude on her training spot, if that's what she's here for.

He relaxes somewhat at her answer. The needling is still annoying, but at least he knows she's not picking a fight.

"From Kyle and Soranik?" They were both good Lanterns and he was proud to serve in the corps with them, but if someone asked him how they were compared to him... "I've been doing this longer than them."

Basically they were good, but not that good. Hal has never claimed to be modest.

Julie looks at Naga with the half-fish in her mouth and laughs slightly at the expression on the animals face. Naga was amazing. She could see why Korra liked her so much.

"Mind if I practice drawing her someday? I don't want to make her look ridiculous." Julie watched the way Naga moved, looking at Korra again. "Is it okay if I pet her?"

At Korra's question, Julie shook her head. "No. There's really no room for it back home. At all. No one really cares. It's just a hobby."

Victoria peeked out of the washroom, watching how Korra placed the blankets on the egg. She'll try to copy it again later. For now, face washed, she made her way back over to the older girl. There was a chair near where the egg went, a pad of paper and box of colored pencils set on top. Victoria picked those up, settling on the chair before considering what Korra asked.

Her only reply was a slow shake of her head. She really didn't have much in the way of clothes at all. Just a couple shirts and some pants. She didn't know what to get for herself or even how to find anything that fit.

And sometimes she just really wasn't the best with words, so a simple headshake was all the Avatar was getting.

Maybe Merida was just unimaginative, but the last thing she ever thought would happen here was a gigantic dog--bear-- thing sniffing her hair. So don't mind her as she jumps back in surprise a bit, yelping out rather un-princess like. Well, Until she sees Korra of course.

"Korra!" She's... still starring at Naga, because after the whole... bear debacle, she's understandably a bit wary of anything bear shaped. "Fine, fine. Just fine."

No, but seriously.

"What... is that?" Meaning Naga. She'd be polite, but she's forgotten her manners for the moment.

He makes a mental note of the location she mentions. While he'd originally been assigned to Water Sector upon his arrival, he hadn't spent much time there since Connor'd vanished. It was a good place to live, thankfully freer of gangs than Fire Sector. He could take the kedan in a hand-to-hand fight, if it came to that, but he preferred not to.

Staring at the blank sketch pad, he shrugs. Why not? He hadn't done a self-portrait in a while, and while the request was pushy enough to make him irritable, he's more concerned about a potential artist's block.

He starts scribbling, and the self-portrait takes shape. He went for stylised, so it could be finished faster, but he never sacrifices accuracy.

That probably has to do with the fact his name came from a sarcastic comment by his high school principal. While it is catchy, and it certainly does work, it can be quite confusing at first.

"Trust me, Art would kill me if he saw this right now. Actually, first he'd be surprised the costume isn't in tatters, then he'd be disappointed I let it got so ratty without coming to him first."

Come to think of it, that was true. The number of heroes he knew that could fly vastly outnumbered the ones that couldn't. What was up with that, anyway? He knew why he could fly--because all Viltrumites could--but that didn't explain all the humans that could.

"You know, I hadn't really thought of that before. I have no idea. I'm half-alien, so I got all my powers from my alien side." Hey, everyone back home knew the truth, so it wasn't much to tell her now.

At the notion they all knew each other, Mark snorted. He could count the number of superheroes he knew in anything more than passing on one hand.

"I have no idea what that is. Back home there was a group called the Guardians of the Globe, but I was a reserve member..." He could have been the leader, but he turned it down. Not his thing. "I'm not much of a team player."

Jason looks at her for a moment. He doesn't have his usual helmet on, not yet but it's there beside him. And while his face holds no expression, he's amused at her whispering. Like a group of blood thumping gangbangers in a riot-like state would hear them from all the way down there --cute, cute. He stares and then returns to the view they're sharing.

"No. It doesn't." He whispers too, just for the hell of it. "We have two gangs fighting for territory in the Fire section, not to say that doesn't happen often. But with these numbers? That doesn't happen often. Lei Leng's troupe of fury controls the easterns borders and right down to the centre of Fire. Kid Choi's fraction is an upset in power they weren't expecting. Now, Leng wants to kill the hydra in its infancy."

...He is invested.

Jason gives her his Joe Schmoe grin -- it's friendly, open but a hint of his old self in the mix, a side of mischievousness behind it. "Too, huh? So what am I, the Dalai Lama's sidekick?"

Rapunzel listens intently to Korra's explanation. While she wasn't sure what to expect, she supposed what Korra was saying made sense. At least in terms of what she had seen since coming to the turtle.

"So then it's a term for someone you're courting? Or betrothed to?" As far as Rapunzel's knowledge the next obvious progression from love was marriage. Anything in between was a foreign concept to her.
