So a Werewolf and a Magician Walk Into a Clinic...

Situation: They're running supplies to a smaller clinic! Also meeting.
Warnings/Rating: Nothing I can think of besides possible fighting?

[Sadie gives Scott a Look when he says "illusion"]

No, I mean a spell. I cast this, we'll be completely cloaked from anyone who's a weaker magician than I am and since I'm the only magician on the turtle, I think we'll be able to get the supplies to the other clinic relatively safely. Though, to be fair, I think only Carter and Uncle Amos are stronger than me anyway, so either way we'd be fine.

[She stands, gathering her things]

I'd still suggest trying not to run into anyone, since it doesn't turn us into air or whatever.

It's just weird hearing you call yourself a magician when where I'm from, magicians don't perform actual magic...

More or less. It's not really invisibility, but it's as close to it as I can get. Do you have a bag for the supplies?

...Good point. [ If there was a book about living on a giant turtle, he would have read it to prepare himself. He'd gotten really into reading before showing up here. ]

I've got this? [ Scott takes off the backpack from his back and shows it to her. ]

And I've got my bag, so hopefully that's good enough. Do you know where, exactly, we're supposed to be going? Earth Sector's all I know.

Lyalia's clinic? I don't know Lyalia but I think I know where the place is. [ Since he worked at a clinic and there were currently plans to merge the clinics into one hospital, Scott figured he should probably know what clinics were around. ]

If something goes wrong and we're attacked, can you defend yourself?

[Sadie looks slightly miffed]

Of course I can. Magic's good for more than sneaking around, you know.

[mccallmemaybe]

I don't know. I don't know anything about magic... but I guess as long as your spell works, it won't come to that.

[Nope, still miffed.]

It will, trust me. Unless someone runs into us, we'll be perfectly fine.

[She tosses her bag to Scott]

If you get the supplies, I'll start the spell.

[ Scott can sense that she's miffed more than a human could thanks to his ability to sense emotions. Great. This is going well. Girls could be so confusing sometimes...

He catches her bag. ] Okay. I'll be right back.

[Especially super powered ones.

By the time Scott returns, Sadie's got the spell ready. The balls of wax look vaguely humanoid and she's waiting with the linen]

[mccallmemaybe]

[ He comes back with both bags full of medical supplies, eyeing the candles. ] Uh... everything okay? Do you need me to do anything?

[eye_of_isis]

Yes. Stand close.

[She takes her bag and tosses the linen over the wax statues before pulling the ivory boomerang looking thing from its sleeve on her back. She sketches out a hieroglyph with it]

I'mun.

[A dark cloud settles over the two teenagers, cloaking them]

And ta-da.

[ Scott gets closer and watches in fascination. It's his first time seeing something like this.

He looks shocked as the dark cloud appears but he trusts she knows what she's doing. ] So nobody can see us now?

Not unless they're more powerful than I am. Did you get directions to the clinic?

[mccallmemaybe]

How powerful are you? What else can you do?

I know the way, follow me. [ Scott starts walking, trying to avoid bumping into anyone like she said. ]

Third most powerful, but magic's not exactly measured like physical strength. I can do things Carter can't, Carter can do things I can't...less like maths, more like art. I can turn into a bird, though, and turn my staff into a lion. Those are pretty simple.

[And she follows, minding the crowds]

You can shape-shift too? That's really cool.

[And she is damn proud of him, too.]

Most of us can. I prefer shifting other people, though. It's a lot easier for me.

So you can turn anyone who gets on your bad side into an animal?

Yeah. Just ask Leo Valdez.

[She snickers a bit]

Started a bit of a prank war when I turned him into a hamster.

[mccallmemaybe]

[ That makes Scott laugh, even if he's nervous about being turned into a hamster himself. ] Hopefully I haven't annoyed you enough to do that. I already turn into something hairy...

Just don't insult my boyfriend and you won't turn into anything small and cute.

[Wait, what did he just say?]

I think my own boyfriend would argue I'm already small and cute. [ And Scott's not the insulting type. ] Is your boyfriend the one you had a prank war with?

If we get into a fight, you'll find out. [ He replies mysteriously. ]

[Oh joy. ~Mysteriousness~. Sadie hates that.

She gives Scott a look of horror when he asks that, though]

Me? Date Leo Valdez? Gods, no!

What's wrong with that guy? [ Not that Scott has any idea who he is. ]

He insulted my boyfriend, he's not all that bright, he nearly blew up our apartment building with a cannon...I mean, he's actually pretty intelligent but gods is he dense.

A cannon? Where did he get that from? And it kinda sounds like you're contradicting yourself if you say he's intelligent but stupid.

He built it, and someone can be perfectly intelligent while being as thick as a post. Give them a maths problem and they're good but they never know when to shut up and leave someone alone.

[ Scott shrugs. ] Maybe he's just a talkative person who likes company? [ Scott has a lot of patience for talkative people, like his best friend who doesn't know when to shut up sometimes until Scott gives him a look. ]
