Characters: Scott McCall & Allison Argent
Date: same day as Allison's arrival.
Location: Allison's suite, Fire Sector
Situation: awkward exes having awkward conversations.
Warnings/Rating: none for now.
Scott was fairly certain this was going to be the most awkward conversation ever, but he really wanted to get it over with. The last thing Scott wanted was for Allison to find out from someone else. He didn't want to hide it from her, but he didn't want to flaunt his new relationship in front of her either. But he felt like she had a right to know because he told her he'd wait for...
And then Isaac had happened. He almost felt... bad. But why? She'd broken up with him. Maybe she would have never taken him back. Maybe he would have wasted years waiting for her when he could have been happy with someone else. Someone like Isaac. He didn't want to hurt her, but he didn't want to assume she'd be hurt by his news either.
Standing outside Allison's suite, Scott couldn't remember the last time he'd been this nervous...
Wait, yes he could. He was probably this nervous before he told Isaac how he felt about him. Now Scott had to tell his ex-girlfriend that he was dating him. And without the internet, Scott had no way of Googling how to have this conversation, no help whatsoever. Not even Stiles could help him, whose only advice was "have a threesome". No, Scott had to figure this out on his own.
He knocked on Allison's door, holding a tin of leftover turtle-shaped cookies he and Isaac made the other day.

Her exboyfriend. She broke up with him. She doesn't have a right to be upset.
"Like...romantic feelings?"
She doesn't really need him to clarify, she thinks she already knows the answer but she needs to say something.

Like whether it's romantic or not. It's a resounding yes, but Scott nods at her.
"I didn't want you to find out from someone else or by accident..." Especially with Allison living in the same sector as Isaac, she might have seen Scott coming out of Isaac's suite at some point, maybe even caught them kissing. Telling her himself seemed more... respectful.

Her words might come out a little shorter than she means them to -- but they're no less sincere. It's better to hear it from him than from somebody else. If the roles were reversed she would want to be the one who told him.
It's strange trying to make this all make sense for her but she knows in time, she'll manage. If they're happy together -- well that's most important. She'll find some way to deal.

"We're still friends... right?" He looks at her hopefully. He doesn't want to lose her more than he already has. He still wants her in his life, to hang out with her and for it to not be weird. Or maybe he's approaching this too optimistically. It's hard for him to judge when he doesn't know how Allison feels about him right now.

Isaac's a good guy, she had been growing closer to him herself back home. And no matter what they were both her friends -- she's lost enough people as it is, she doesn't want to lose them too.
"Of course. Nothing's going to change that."
It might be a little awkward at first, but they've gotten through worse.

"Can we hug it out?" The last time they hugged feels like forever ago. They're long overdue for a hug and after what he's heard happens back home, she probably needs one.
no subject
"Sure. Of course we can."
It has been a while since they've hugged -- and between everything that happened back home and then suddenly being here...she could use the hug.
no subject
"You always did give good hugs." He wasn't meant to say that thought aloud.
no subject
"You too."

"If you need anything, some company, someone to talk to or even some more cookies, message me or come find me at my suite in Wood sector. I work at a clinic in Earth sector too, you can find me there if I'm not in my suite." What he's trying to tell Allison is to not be a stranger.

Maybe not at first -- it might take her some time to fully adjust to all this -- but eventually, yes. She doesn't plan on cutting off contact or anything like that.
