cw for alcoholism also in here
That wasn't the reminder he needed right now. Not when he was angry and alone and already half-burying himself in self-pity and topping off the other half with cheap liquor he'd promised himself never to touch again. But he wasn't himself anyway, so why did it matter?]
Get the hell out of my window.
[That was still his. They couldn't take away that. If he were in his right mind, he wouldn't be so attached to something as stupid as a window, but he's not in his right mind. And having Loki perch in the space as if he owns it just salts the already painful wounds.]
No. You don't get to come in here whenever you feel like it! Once was enough!
whoops, added it to the main warnings
[ No one here was in their right mind. Not really.
Loki knew where all the lines were, logically speaking. He knew a lot of things that he'd figured out before his unknown foes thought to reach into his soul and tear free the heaviest of the burdens he'd been weighed down with. That lightness is how he can still be genuinely smiling when he recognizes that the something he'd seen before was still somehow wrong.
His other-self would have protested, but he is muted and tucked away in some dark corner of the little god's mind.
Better judgement failed him without that input. Had he been able to feel guilt for it, recognizing that there was still a problem may have led to him backing off, but it's far too late now. His eyes are sharp, predatory, and he fully expects them to play their game. They would banter, Loki would see if he could outmaneuver Iron Man and come away with some new little victory, and life would go on. ]
If you want to get into metaphysical technicalities, I don't think I was the last time, either. It's tricky.

There's always a reason.
That thought gets shoved aside, because Tony doesn't want to know the reason Loki might have to harass him. The potential for horrible answers is all too great. He'd rather just be angry about it and not think about why. The only small compensation Tony feels is that he can still face him with some composure. At least, what he thinks is composure. Better than nothing.]
Yeah? Well why don't you sort that out somewhere else? And put the window back on your way out.
[That almost sounds calm. There's a faint tremor in his voice, but nothing too noticeable. He glares at Loki and moves closer to him as if he might be able to chase the god away like a random bird.]

[ He's used to this part already. For all that Loki was a tiny godling, someone else being bigger than him and closing in on him did absolutely nothing to intimidate him. (Thor could, but his brother was always the exception.) It helped, of course, that Tony tended to be relatively toothless. ]
Oh, I know what you could do. Maybe try saying the magic word?
[ He leans subtly forward, smirking. There they were, right back at what they ought to be doing with themselves. ]

Well, he is immortal. Tony doesn't say anything. He looks up, measures the distance between where he's standing and where Loki is sitting in his window, and makes his move. Releasing the armor takes only s fraction of a second. Not even a blink. And then he's on Loki, flying at him and throw the window hole at full speed, dragging the mini-god with him.]
You want me to say something? Get out of my face.
[He's still flying. Tony doesn't even know where he's going, really, but he's gong there fast and taking Loki along for the ride.]

After all, Loki can't cast when he doesn't have the breath to speak.
He doesn't ragdoll like he usually would. Iron Man wants to be impolite? Then, Hel, they just didn't have to be civil at all tonight. Of course, there's little to do until he's dropped or thrown save glowing menacingly green--magic at the ready, but unchannelled without spoken word--and struggling to remind him how distinctly uncool this was. It's about as effective and menacing as a cat fluffing up.
He's really, truly not a fighter in this form. ]

Tony knows that's ridiculous, but at the same time he's too angry to care. None of them had to get up and find out that everything they had built had suddenly crumbled overnight, and being taunted by Loki of all people was just the salt in the wound. So he's spiteful. He's very spiteful, and he doesn't look back.]
You're being pretty quiet. Don't want to chat anymore now? That's okay, I'll talk.
[He flies them out away from the buildings. He doesn't want to involve any civilians, after all. When they get to a clear spot, Tony throws Loki downward toward the ground. He knows that the god can probably magic himself right out of the situation, but he still throws him hard to get the point across.]
You leave my stuff alone. My windows; my Sector; my life. Those are all off-limits, so keep your hands off of them.
[He almost sounds calm when he says that. There's an edge to it, but he doesn't raise his voice. Instead, Tony tenses up and follows the toss with a shot from his repulsor beam, aiming toward Loki. It's not a well-aimed move, but he brings it close. Loki wants to tease him? Fine. He'll tease back. With firepower.]
