[Nita's turned into a reasonably good cook in her time here, though whether the concept of "good" applies to sea prunes is a matter of some debate, which she finds inexplicable. Sigh. It's not her fault surface dwellers have bad taste, but it does keep Sea Prune Night exclusive.

She's serving buffet style this time, with a stack of bowls and utensils where people can help themselves, and then settle on a couch or by the poolside to eat. If there's one thing being royalty has taught her, it's that casual parties are way less likely than formal ones to end up with someone upending their plate on someone else's head.]

[Nita greets Arthur with a hug, because he's basically family by her weird unspoken rules...and because that beard is worrisome. Beards on kings of Atlantis never mean anything good.]

[Atlanteans apparently have loose definitions of family, but that's alright. Arthur considers her kin in at least some ways, too, just for the fact that she's Atlantean and there aren't very many of them here. So he returns the hug lightly and sets the plate of sashimi down, managing a slight smile.]

No prob. Wouldn't look good if I snubbed the King, now would it?

[She pops a piece of sashimi into her mouth, because Nita and decorum don't usually go together.]

Former king. [But he smiles slightly at the comment anyway. Decorum is for losers anyway, not Atlantean royalty.]

I'll apologize in advance, I invited another surface friend. He dumped trash in the canals to get me to come out, I thought it prudent to introduce him to sea prunes. [Mature King of Atlantis.]

[She's getting ready to tease him about how kings of Atlantis never stay "former," when he gets to the part about Hal.]

Trash in the canals? Why would he do that?!

To be fair, he cleaned it up immediately. [Because he was threatened to.] No harm done. It was just a stupid stunt to draw me out for a chat. [But a stupid stunt deserving of Arthur's little brand of pranking.]

He isn't awful, once you get past the immaturity.
