Characters: Booker and Elizabeth
Date: 11/18
Location: Their suite.
Situation: Um, Booker got reminded that Elizabeth is a rather naive young girl out in the world for the first time - and maybe he should warn her about evil boys and their wily ways??
Warnings/Rating: Possibly some Edwardian talk of sex? Mostly just secondhand embarrassment.
What Sei had said on the network - had been nagging at Booker all day as he made his deliveries. Because sure, Booker was going to look out for Elizabeth as best he could, for as long as he could. But how easy would it be for some sick bastard to take advantage of her inexperience of the world?
After his last delivery of the day, he stopped off at the Brazen Turtle for a drink - just one drink. He needed one, for the topic he thought he should bring up. He didn't exactly relish talking about it with her, but dammit, Sei was right. Better to put her on her guard and suffer a little embarrassment than not say anything and maybe have her get hurt.
So he got back to their suite maybe twenty minutes later than usual, due to his little detour, and went immediately into the kitchen to wash his hands and face - a day of fish deliveries always made him a little smelly, even for his taste.
"Elizabeth?" he called out, "I'm home."
