What: Mako got a car. He didn't realize the car belonged to Korra.

[Mako hadn't been expecting to see a Satomobile when he looked at the auction area-- but there it was, and still in mint condition, too. He didn't think too hard about the particulars of how it got there (by some long, convoluted process? Something had to happen, at least. It wasn't like Future Industries was in this area), and instead did the first thing he could thinks of when he had money to burn.

He bought it, for a bargain of about 200 juulan.

He'd prefer something a little lighter-- and looking at this car, it was your standard, if one of their higher end models, satomobile. There was nothing on it that would let it do the tricks that Asami had pulled off in her custom model.

And he wouldn't even know where to begin.

But he had it-- a piece of home. So, who cared about what he'd do with it so far? He could probably talk to someone at Stark Industries. They might know how to custom-- no. Noooo, that would actually be a bad idea, never mind.

But he was driving it back to Keeliai either way.]

[That wasn't what he was expecting, but then again, this entire moment wasn't what he was expecting, so he grits his teeth and nods.

Power and speed, he could do those. If she didn't want him to go easy, he wouldn't. The increase in friction was perfect-- he still had plenty of control, but this was making it harder to maintain that 'cool under fire' type thinking he was so known for.

All those jokes and innuendos that had led to frustration were definitely forgotten in that moment, and he could feel his muscles slowly tensing up]

[Feeling him slam himself into and against her made her body undulate instinctively, separate from her mind; which is pretty much melted away at this point. [Still catching her breath, Korra rolled onto her side and put her check on his chest; breathing heavily through both nose and mouth. Sliding slightly from the sweat, she managed a smile as her breathing began to slow down to its normal rate.]

I want this. [Her voice was lower, partially from the exertion and partially from the feeling of having all her stress shaken off of her by their sexual romp. Either way, it's something she doesn't leave in the air like she did before they started.]

[instinctively, he wrapped his arms around her, and then he heard what she had to say and a part of him was immediately happy, while another was wary about what this meant, if it was so imperative that they break up in the first place.

Mako's been on some emotional roller coasters with Korra, especially in their short time dating, and before that. That part is worried about how long this particular part of their relationship will last, especially if he ever finds out what happens.

Because the break up was mutual... wasn't it? But he can't imagine the logic behind it.

And it was because of that, his arms tightened around her in response]

So... we're not breaking up anymore? [soft, cautious, still.]

[None of the future mattered right now to her. That would happen whenever they got back home, or maybe it could even changed, but she isn't thinking of the finer details right now. Moving her head slightly so she could look up at him, she traced her finger along his jawline. Something she enjoyed paying attention to in much more intimate way a few moments ago.]

No. [Her tone was soft and her smile gentle, like a faint but gentle amusement that tickled her tone.] I like this. This whole you and me. [She moved her head further up so the top of her head was just under his chin, the movement nuzzling her cheek into his chest along with her loose hair.]

[he relaxed, and even smiled when she did that. Just... accepting the attention. Accepting her, period. And how could he not, after that? His arm moved from up around her shoulders, to sliding over her side, fingers touching the skin of her stomach.

His face buried into the nape of her neck with a string of kisses along the skin there]

I want it too.

[A scratch breath comes out of her mouth when she felt the sudden kisses left by his lips, the touch on her stomach added an upturn at the end of her exhale, and Korra gave a caress along his side until her hand rests on his hip.]

Then let’s keep it. [Spoken right next to his ear, Korra then kisses right under it where his jawbone was.]

[Well, that was like a weight off his shoulders, even if he felt a twinge in the back of his mind that suggested that maybe, just maybe, it wouldn't last. He wanted to believe there was a good reason Korra had broken up with him in the first place.

Even if he didn't want it, and just wanted to be with her.]

That sounds fine to me.
