Characters: Dick Grayson the elder, Shayera Hol, and Kyle Rayner.
Date: Dec 8th.
Location: A restaurant in the Fire Sector.
Situation: Kyle sets Dick and Shayera up on an awesome date.
Warnings/Rating: C for cheesiness.
[ The fact were thus: their lives in Keeliai were sorely lacking in shenanigans. He wasn't much into this sort of thing at home - John and Merayn hadn't been the type, Wally and Roy were perfectly adept at pulling these by themselves - but admittedly he'd derived much more joy than expected coming up with the whole thing. It was a very cunning plan, one so sly he was certain it could level up to being a fox in no time. ]
[ The question was not catching Dick off-guard. Kyle was fairly certain the man would fall for his polite invitation (a trick of the highest order!). No, the real problem was getting Shayera out of the house, in the appropriate attire. ]
[ He managed that, of course. A little of Jim's recklessness added to his own meant it was a piece of cake - he just needed to avoid her wrath. He had full confidence he would, but he couldn't deny he'd enjoy seeing her face. (Maybe he'd hide in the bushes with binoculars and popcorn.) ]
[ And so, through a series of mysterious and suspicious coincidences, the details of which shall remain obscured so that none may use them against the two in question ever again, it turned out that Dick and Shayera had been led to a fancy restaurant in the heart of the Fire Sector, to find that there was a table for two and a meal paid for, signed by a certain Green Lantern, with the postscript in Thanagarian: You may thank me later ;) ]

Needless to say, until she finds the restaurant, the note, and the prepaid-meal, she's at a loss for hunches. After finding all that and discovering the reason she's currently wearing a knee-length, single-strapped cherry red dress is when it all clicks in her brain. Oh, Kyle Rayner, you are a dead man.) When I find that little...
(She mutters a few Thanagarian curses under her breath.)
