[He is, very much so, a furious child. A furious child who has never had to really earn much for himself beyond what he wanted to, and even the process in which to earn that was definitely catered to his wants, so it's not the same remotely. This, however, is just... so UNFAIR!!]
An' ewen if I didn't, what right do you got to try to order me around? Sure, food costs money an' such, but what part a doin' labor for scraps ain't slawery?
[SO DRAMATIC.]

[Well, Clara is used to dealing with indignant, bratty, and furious children, so she's not backing down. She just crosses her arms and leans against the door. She really wishes she was wearing a bra though.]
It's not an order. It's a request. The house needs to be cleaned and we all live here, so it only makes sense we ought to get it done. And you're free to leave anytime, so you're definitely not enslaved.
no subject
[Somehow that just pisses him off more. He knows full well he can leave anytime, thank you very much! Good thing he's too upset to notice that she's without a bra, though, that might make things a little awwkwward.]
An' what if I don't meet your request? Plannin' on bootin' me out the door?
[He sneers.]
Ain't your place to.
no subject
[It's okay because he's just a kid and that would just be a little weird. She laughs a little.]
'Course not. Though Spock likes things orderly, even more than me. And besides, if you don't want to get a job, you could just do the chores. Much easier, less people, don't have to leave the house.

I know what Spock likes, kinda liwed with him for a fuckin' while now. But it just seems so... [He gestures with a hand] lowly.
[Because bumming off of people and being lazy isn't?]
no subject
[CASUAL SHRUG.]

Flippin' hilarious.
Look, I was inwited here, if Spock had said any such expectations a me in the beginnin' that'd be one thing, but for you to come in here an' think you got any such jurisdiction ower what any of us do is fuckin' ridiculous.

[She shrugs again and yawns.]
If it's too difficult to manage, I'll cover your work.
no subject
[He grumbles a bit, quietly:]
I suppose I can offer some help. [A bit more loudly:] I don't need you to "cower" me, like I'm incapable or somethin'.
[Unwilling, sure, but don't you dare say it's too difficult for him!]
no subject
[She gives him a gentle smile. He's just a kid and she doesn't want to be too pedantic to him.]
Appreciate it, though. Don't think I could do both your chores and mine without collapsing.
no subject
If you can't handle a bit a hiwekeepin' yourself, you hardly got the right to suggest it could ewer be too difficult for me to manage. Cleanin' up a hiwe is nothin' compared to shit I'we done before ewen comin' to this damn turtle.
[EVERYTHING HAS TO BE COMPARED TO HIS GREAT FEATS. Everything.]
no subject
[She gives him an affectionate shoulder pat.]
And if you want to trade chores with me, we can work it out. I just assigned them at random.
no subject
I'll look ower the list again, think it ower, whatnot. Let ya know if I ain't feelin' doin' whichewer is on the list.
[Augh, he's not even sure why he's agreeing to this at all. Clearly this woman works witchcraft.]
no subject
Thank you, Eridan. Looking forward to being flatmates with you. It's definitely going to work out if you ask me.
no subject
[He says dismissively. He certainly doesn't mind Clara typically, their previous conversations were well enough for what he typically expects for humans, and this one here didn't go down in flames, either. She's just, oddly agreeable, and Eridan can't exactly place why.]
Any-fuckin'-way, guess we're done here. [He turns away from her to head back to his own block.] Guess you're free to go back to whatewer it was you were doin'.
no subject
Going to drop off for the night I think. So I suppose that's a good morning to you.
no subject
[Because not being burnt or blinded instantly by your sun is clearly something to be looked down on for? But he dismissively waves at her as he walks on.]
Sleep well an' suchlike.
no subject
[She reaches out and ruffles his hair. Just because the idea of doing so is extremely amusing.]
Will do. And will try to keep the snoring down as to not disturb you.
no subject
I'd appreciate it more if you kept your prongs to yourself! I can deal with snorin', I can't deal with you treatin' me like some wiggler.
[He huffs at her once he's done fixing what she's done, or, to the best of his ability anyways.]
Just go to your 'coon, already. [Even though humans don't have recuperacoons, they have beds. But. Whatever.]
no subject
[She looks him over one last time. He is a kid. No one hates to be treated like a kid more than kids.]
Going, going. If you ever need anything. Just knock.
no subject
[He certainly is a kid, yes. But he wants so badly to be an adult, or to be treated like one, at least.]
Sure, I'll keep that in mind.
[And if they're done here, Eridan will be heading back to his block--or maybe the bathroom to double check his hair. ~vanity~]
