Characters: Asami (
chittybang), Korra (
alphatar)
Date: January 17th
Location: ME-2A
Situation: Moving in!
Warnings/Rating: N/A
After her conversation with Asami, Korra just left her door wide open since she knew Asami would be over soon and Naga took the advantage to go outside.
The suite most had the same layout of ME-2B so Korra didn't have to think on where to start putting anything. The hardest part was out of the way now that all her furniture was in place, the rest of it was just unpacking her stuff.
One of the first things Korra did was get out some of her fish jerky, a small boost of energy to get her ready to hang out with her friend so they could tackle the task.
That alone made her smile. Now that she was home and feeling like herself, Korra wanted to get back with her friends. Have her home in Keeliai feel more like her home world. Their home world.

Part of her wanted to be angry, the way she would have been when she first arrived months ago; before she settled in and saw her future. But that was washed over by the repeating wave of the words 'It's over...' and Korra folded her arms, her fingers on her ribs.
"A lot of things can change here." It wasn't much of an answer, but she had no idea how to even broach the subject.

She straightens her legs to stand and keeps her hands at her sides.
"I didn't want you to find out by surprise."
I know how that feels is on the tip of her tongue, almost a knee jerk response to Korra's tone even despite her concern, but she isn't trying to burn bridges here.

"Thank you." said quietly as she looked more at the wall behind Asami than the girl herself.
As she spoke, she went back to the time where Asami needed Mako and Korra encouraged him to go to her. Be supportive of both of them instead of being selfish and focusing on herself. Harder now because of how she spent the last six months with him, unfettered by any influences from home, but she managed to get there.
The past week wouldn't go to waste, Korra wasn't going to allow that. "If you need anything, let me know." It was the offer she made when Asami posted on the network and repeating it was the only way she could think of at the moment to let her friend know that she was still that.
Her friend.

But it's possible Asami is readier for it than her counterpart. Even then, she isn't sure if she'll ever be prepared to just hash out feelings with her. All she wants is a friendship. She likes Korra, a lot.
So for now she'll count her blessings.
She quietly says in return, "Thanks." She musters a small smile. "I'm here for you, too. Right across the hall, in fact."

Returning back to her previously functional state, Korra went to get another box. While it did feel like all the air was sucked out of the room momentarily, there was relief in Asami’s face and she could only wonder how hard that was for her. "Still feel like unpacking, or do you want a break?"
no subject
"To be honest, I figured you would've wanted me to leave. I can give you space."

"You don’t have to stay if you don’t want to." She had her space, coming off of being by herself for more than a week was taxing even for her. "But, I don’t want to be alone." Korra didn’t want to rely on others and what Asami just told her were both big reasons why it was hard to say.

The comment worries her, however. She resolves to stay, and without any kind of announcement of her decision, she begins to break down the box she'd just emptied.
"Does it have anything to do with this past week? I didn't hear from you for a while there."
no subject
"It was only supposed to be for two days." Unpacking the next box was easy, it was just sheets and blankets.
I kept reading "Leo the departing turtle" ah ha haaa
"So what held you longer?"
It’s even interchangeable, omg
"The audience. I needed some space." She didn’t even think of it that way back then, but Jim had told her as much and it made more sense now that she can look back on it.

"Hopefully things will start to look up soon. I mean, you have a driving lesson to look forward to now, so there's that. Just keep yourself busy." She offers her a short, encouraging look. "You're pretty good at that."

"Thanks. I'll try to do a better parking job this time."
